The purpose of this subreddit is to show your face.

In a perfect world, every submission would be a square cropped photo that shows your face and stops at the neck. We're not going to reject every photo that is not that, but with that in mind see these guidelines:

Imaging a square photo. Put a 3x3 grid over it. That would make nine squares. A perfect submission would have even just a little bit of face in each of those nine squares. This is what we are looking for:

We do not want your face cut off like this:

Do not cut off any part of your face (to include your forehead or hairline) and show even the slightest hint of cleavage.

Your forehead is part of your face, your chest is not. This guideline applies to both men and women.

While square cropping is ideal, we will accept rectangular photos that are face focused

We're looking for head and shoulders

We understand that this is Reddit, and we're not trying to be unreasonable. We will work with you, and we will allow imperfect submissions, but please remember the theme of the subreddit and make sure your submissions follow our guidelines.

• If your forehead or the top of your head is cut off, but your chest/cleavage is visible, we're probably going to remove the post.
• If we can see your waist, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If your hair, phone, or hand is covering a significant part of your face, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If half your face is cut off from the side, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If the crop looks like it was chosen to highlight anything other than your face, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If the framing emphasizes everything below your chin while cutting off your brow line, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If we can see your knee or feet, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If you're in a car and we can see your lap belt, we're probably going to remove your post.
• If the angle is primarily downward or upward and minimizes your face while emphasizing your body, we’re probably going to remove your post.
• If your face is turned away that we can’t reasonably identify you, we’re probably going to remove your post.
• If your face is blurred (intentionally or unintentionally) and not clearly visible, we’re probably going to remove your post.
• If the framing prioritizes your torso, legs, or outfit while your face is cropped or minimized, we’re probably going to remove your post.
• If you submit five pictures and one of them isn't face focused, your entire post will be removed.

We are a Safe For Work subreddit. We do not have Age or Karma limitations for posts. HOWEVER if you have posts in NSFW subreddits, you cannot post in this subreddit.

This rule/policy has been in place since this sub was created. It had been a part of another rule, but now we have made it its own separate rule to make things clearer.

Posts from people who have histories of posting in NSFW Subreddits will have their posts removed automatically. This includes previous posts that may have been approved.

We do allow for exceptions to our NSFW list. For example, r/Cigars is considered NSFW due to Tobacco use, we will not remove your posts for posting there. If you have a subreddit that does not feature nudity, and would like us to consider it for an exemption, please send us a modmail. If you would like to resume posting in the subreddit, you will have to remove the NSFW posts from your account, and get the NSFW flag cleared from your account.

Please note: This is not a ban on accounts that are flagged NSFW, only accounts who are actively posting in NSFW subreddits. We understand that people can get the NSFW flag accidentally and not know how to clear it.

If you want to clear the flag from your account. Delete all NSFW posts, then go to your profile (https://www.reddit.com/settings/profile) and turn off Mark as mature (18+) Label your profile as Not Safe for Work (NSFW) and ensure it's inaccessible to people under 18

The way to do it if the first to ways fail

Delete all NSFW posts, then go to r/Help

Make a post in r/Help and ask for help clearing it. The admins watch r/Help and sometimes will help you without submitting a ticket using the steps above.

Once you get the NSFW cleared from your account, you can verify with us here at r/JustMyFace and we will clear the ban on your account.
