Announcement To the users of the subreddit

Assalamualaikum

There are very few spaces for Muslims generally offline and online, and for IMs it is almost nil. This subreddit was imagined to be a place where IMs could be IMs since there is no platform for them. It is expected that IMs make better use of this platform. Create discourses, discuss politics, social life, books, theories, culture, history, and things they wish to discuss.

The subreddit describes itself in about section as-

"A space for Indian Muslims and the Indian Muslim diaspora to connect, share knowledge, preserve heritage, and build a stronger sense of community. We engage in meaningful discussions on deen, politics, history, culture, identity, and everything related to Indian Muslims. Itโ€™s a place to celebrate our rich cultural legacy while also sharing news and information affecting the community in India and abroad."

The subreddit wasn't certainly imagined to be a doomerpilled space with demoralised people and reactionary people.

The Indian Muslim experience is complex. It cannot be reduced only to news cycles, outrage, sectarian debates, or ritual discussions. While discussions about discrimination, injustice, and current events are important, this subreddit is also meant to be a place for deeper reflection, analysis, growth, and community-building.

Users are encouraged to post and discuss:

  • Current affairs and social issues
  • Indian Muslim history and culture
  • Politics and policy
  • Religion and philosophy
  • Education and careers
  • Law, media, and representation
  • Community challenges and solutions
  • Books, essays, and intellectual discussion
  • Humor, memes, and cultural content
  • Identity, strategy, and the future of the community

Lately there have been too much posts related to islamophobia where ss are shared and the post can be best described as "look what they're saying", posts where an IM is being beaten, posts where an IM is being abused or harassed etc. What is the purpose of these posts in such a large amount? Is this creating a discussion regarding anti-muslimism? Does this lead to discussion on anti-muslimism? It just creates a reaction, a stimulation for a moment, then people scroll to some other post.

It is certainly not awareness to dump the subreddit with such posts, it is exposure, bad exposure. What do you think what happens to the mental health of the users who scroll such feed? It destroys their mental health and makes people avoid such space. They can get awareness from a lot of platforms, you don't need to throw it on their face every time they come here. Consuming such content does nothing but demoralizes the people, breaks them mentally and we don't want that.

The subreddit intends to create confidence among the masses, create men with M and women with W, create achievers and not martyrs for martyrs are great but never ideal. How happy is the man who says i am an IM. The subreddit is centered around IMs across languages, across regions, across cultures, across sects, across gender, as people - one people that is IMs. There is no space for sectarianism and people who put their sect first than an IM community first, they'll be disappointed. Be IMs, help yourselves and grow yourselves. Create a space where more IMs wish to join you, create a virtual home for yourselves.

And remember this, regardless of the sectarian affiliation, an IM will never come to bulldoze your buildings, an IM will not come at you in riots, will not boycott you economically. So be an IM first for you are not people with same faith but also same fate, you simply cannot deny the Qaum with takfir. Have intersect dialogues, there is no need to fight, even verbally.

Allah Hafiz

Islamophobia This is why Muslims were skeptical of joining the protest but some people had the audacity to shame Muslims for this.

Islamophobia Is gautam gambhir sidelining Indian Muslim cricketers?

Okay so I don't know how many people follow cricket in this sub, but for quite some time, Gautam Gambhir is serving as Head coach of Indian cricket team... and under his tenure, there is a continuous pattern where many Muslim cricketers are not getting opportunities to play, being sidelined from the Indian team despite being better than those in the squad.. jere are few examples:

  1. Md. Shami: Player of the tournament for Ranji trophy, and after a scintalling performance in RT, DT and IPL, still the goat has denied any chances to comeback in the team...

  2. Md. Siraz: Even after being economical and bowling most dot balls in ipl... my guy hasn't yet received any chance to get back in t2oi setup.

  3. Sarfaraz Khan: I am genuinely upset for this guy... he played and scored runs against the toughest teams, and yet got dropped after a bad series in tests... not even picked in the squad since... he averaged 39 in tests but the players who have replaced him (jurel) are really disappointing, but still getting chances.

  4. Aqib Nabi Dar: At the time where all good ipl pacers (even harsh dubey, Ashok and gurnoor brar) are getting call up for t2ois, he has been totally sidelined despite his unbelievable ranji performance, GG wants a no. 8 bowling all-rounder but here he is, yet to make international debut.

  5. Rasikh Salam Dar.

  6. Shakir Hossein.

  7. Khaleel Ahmed

  8. Mohsin Khan.

[No. 5 6 7 8 are better than most of the pacers playing for india and india a, but why still they are denied opportunity to debut at international stage?]

Political Danish flew from Australia just to join the protest at Jantar Mantar. Paid 1L for the ticket. When asked why? "They keep telling us to go to Pakistan... I am here to show that this country is mine too."

Political Stop gaslighting protestors

Dear brothers

We all know how the CAA NRC protests were suppressed. 47 Muslims have been martyred. Tens of our brothers and sisters are still languishing in jail for the last 5-6 years. No one supported us, no one issued statements in our support, and the majority was happy to see Muslims beaten badly. As we speak, we are still busy filling SIR forms.

Advising fellow Muslims not to join the protests is fine, but gaslighting protestors and engaging in whataboutery under every tweet or Instagram post is not going to do any good for us.

The majority is heavily brainwashed by WhatsApp forwards and influencers, and they are slowly coming out of it. I understand that the majority of CJP protestors are still anti-Muslim. It takes time to unlearn hatred.
They are fighting for change. As Muslims, if we donโ€™t want to support them, at least we shouldnโ€™t gaslight them.
If the protests are successful, we donโ€™t want some idiots claiming that Muslims were not part of it or were against it.

Assalamualaikum.

In India, there are four such Muslim Leaders who are either in jail or out on bail. They had established universities for the better future of the Muslim youth and to provide them with the highest quality education:

In Rampur district, Uttar Pradesh, in 2006, Azam Khan Sahab laid the foundation of Today, Azam Khan is in jail.

In Ribhoi district, Meghalaya, in 2011, Mahbub-ul-Haq Sahab laid the foundation of ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐ž๐ ๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐š (๐”๐’๐“๐Œ).He is currently out on bail.

In Faridabad district, Haryana, in 1997, Javed Ahmad Siddiqui Sahab laid the foundation of ๐€๐ฅ ๐… He is currently in jail.

In Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, in 2011, Haji Mohammad Iqbal Sahab laid the foundation of He is out on bail, absconding.

Those who constantly lecture us about NEET protest, were nowhere to be seen when the national media ran a vicious

Why should we set aside our ๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—Ÿ๐—™ ๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—ฆ๐—ฃ๐—˜๐—–๐—ง now and stand with those who never stood for us?

Muslims rushing to join such protests should remember one thing clearly: only Sharjeel Imam will end up in jail โ€” his Hindu counterparts never will. And if any Muslim is so eager to go to prison, at least go for our own causes. Protest to save the universities built by Azam Khan for educating Muslims; institutions meant for our childrenโ€™s future. At least that would be our fight.

[Have attached a video of Azam Khan Sahab's speech on why our Universities are targeted]

General The CJP protest reactions show why it was important to silence Muslims first

1857 taught british one thing. Muslims were at the forefront of the protest, and were one of the most prominent partakers in the revolution. The British responded by purging them of their clergy, banishing intellectuals and emptying delhi of its Muslims. Over time the British added a list of "notorious tribes" indigenous groups that were fiercely libertarian. The British managed to rule the country with a few tools, divide and rule, look down and other various caste and religious groups and ensuring some of the population will have interests in the British prolonging its stay.

Post independence any governing party that was heavily entrenched had Muslims go against them first. Sanjay gandhi s nasbandi drive and the nandigram protest brought about the end of congress and the left, Muslims were at the forefront.

The present ruling dispensation in India is using british tactics. What I found interesting was the massive outcry once jamia students were attacked during caa nrc. Every Muslim young and old was incensed. There were women who were not literate but wanted to contribute. There was a collective uprising of sorts. When the kids are hit how can we stay at home was an oft repeated line.

Every muslim felt the kids attacked were their own. While many a bhakt supported police action I had believed in this being their belief that Muslims were subhuman, after all they were led by a non biological entity.

However, while there has been outcry on police action against students in the cjp protest it seems limited to keyboard. There isn't as much outcry on the ground. The bjp has been quietly targeting tribals and other groups one by one. I now get why it was so important to silence the Muslims first.

General Don't be neutral!

We should not be neutral, we are not the RSS who bootlicked the British.

Although we need to be careful, if you are going to the protest do be visibly muslim.

My suggestion support them from behind the scenes.

  1. Send them water, send them food.

  2. If you are a lawyer help them if any case are filed.

  3. Open the mosques for them.

Nabi ki qaum buzdil nahi baithegi!

I am a human being , i changed my view drastically after seeing the protests!
