So this was the old hold music for HSBC UK - this video is all I can find of it, and it's awful quality - but it always sounded awful on the phone anyway.

I cannot find it, but now I have this video at least there is a tiny sliver of hope.

Can someone be my saviour and bring back my memories to life with this glorious tune (many people really really really hate it).

This has been driving me insane for years. Somebody help please, for the love of god! What is the name of this song???!!

Every time I pay my Nicor bill I purposely pay over the phone so that when it connects to the SpeedPay auto billing system I get between 5 and 25 seconds worth of the best, most satisfying hold music jingle. It's a freaking bop. And I have no idea what it is!

I've tried emailing corporate. I've tried to SoundHound it. I've scoured the Internet only to find Tim Carleton's Opus No. 1 (also a bop) and Every Now and Then (ATT's current megabop). But not the Speed Pay hold music.

Every Nicor bill for the past 15 years I get to head this glorious tune, but I don't know where else to find it. I need to know the name of this song. If all else fails I might have to look up a SpeedPay directory and call somebody at the company. But something tells me all I'll get is a really confused janitor. Help please!!!

I just got off the phone with a Hilton representative out of Minneapolis-St Paul. When I was put on hold, the music sounded oddly familiar. It reminded me of the soundtrack from a film called “Beyond the Mind’s Eye,” where Jan Hammer composed the music. He also wrote the music for “Miami Vice.” Any chance anyone knows if that hold music is indeed Jan Hammer? It’s driving me crazy! 😂😂😅 Thank you!!

I'm an ambient producer making beautiful, ethereal drones. I've tried converting my track to 8khz and mono, even tried eqing my track by adding low and highpass filters. Followed a few guides online for audacity, but it just comes out terrible when I play it on the Telus voip system (garbage, try going with some PBX that isn't piggybacked by a big telco).

Any decent guides as to why this isn't working? It's really annoying :( I've been in the office since 8:00pm trying to get it to work, now it's 11:00pm.

The Simplicity and Cold Day by Macroform's FLAC files were found on the Internet Archive. I also converted Robot Dity from .sln16 to .wav, the highest quality possible since Macroform lost the project file.
