Hey everyone! I’ve been posting my art on Instagram (@robharmsbelmont) for ten years but I’ve never posted anything on Reddit. I’m posting this here because I figure you’d appreciate it more. I’m honestly kinda sick of Instagram as I think the algorithm has driven me to do art just for likes.

Anyway, I’ve been a published comic artist for 6 years and while I’ve never worked for a major comic company, I figured I’d try my hand at doing a fan comic of one of my favorite characters ever, Hellboy! The above illustration is concept art for my comic (which is already thumbnailed). I mainly work digitally, mostly for convenience, but for this project I plan on doing the whole thing traditionally (save for coloring).

If anyone is interested, my creator owned book series is called A Dream of Neon Fire (which has 8 books so far). I’ve included the cover of my most recent book just to show what my art, in general, looks like.

Always loved this shot in the 2004 Hellboy, finally got around to painting it! Thought y'all might enjoy it too 😈

Today I received my Hellboy coat from Aliexpress. It wasn’t easy to detach Right hand of Doom, but thankfully it’s all over now)

Found a slightly beat down Lobster Johnson Vol 1 Omnibus and the Young Hellboy sleeve actually has issues 1 and 2!

Spent the better part of an hour building this to go into a template for the app I take notes in for work. #turbonerd

(Ignore the dirty mirror) had a fun time getting patches for this to make a BPRD jacket! Will probably wear it pretty casually, but I am also hoping to finish an agent cosplay similar to Guy Davis' artwork!

Hey all! Was in a local merch store today and found the chase Elite Edition McFarlane Hellboy for a decent price, so i snapped it up! I absolutely adore the look of it, and the accessories are WAY better with the chase, but my one gripe is that I now dont have a trench coat to throw on him while posing. I know the Box Full of Evil accessory pack is coming out at some point this year, but the only vendor I can find in the EU with it still in stock isnt getting it's stock in November, and it'd be great to find a substitute for the time being! Does anybody have any advice as to where I'd go about getting a stand-in plain brown/tan trench coat for the figure? I almost never pick up additional accessories, so no idea where to even start looking 😅 Any help would be appreciated!

In Hellboy 2019 is there an actual explanation why when he punches normal people or throws them it looks barely any different from 2 normal people fighting except ones red and when a group of them(The Osiris Club) jump him they can handle him no problem but when he fought 3 giants he suddenly got way stronger now when they send him flying after each hit he can tank it no problem, rip trees out of the ground and throw it like a spear, tackle their leg dropping them, and use their own giant weapons against them? I don't think its him holding his strength back because he can't even tap his phone without breaking it but I do have another hour and 20 minutes left in the movie so I don't know.

La verdad no dibujo todos los días; casi todo esto lo hago en mis ratos libres después del trabajo, así que va avanzando poco a poco.

Estoy tomando inspiración de distintas portadas, ilustraciones y arte de Mike Mignola para intentar que la mochila se sienta como una colección de referencias al universo de Hellboy, más que una copia de una sola imagen.

Todavía le falta bastante. Si tienen sugerencias sobre colores, composición, técnicas para pintar sobre tela o algún guiño, personaje, criatura o detalle del universo de Hellboy que crean que debería incluir, me encantaría leerlas. Toda crítica o consejo es bienvenido.

Hi all. I'm looking to buy the Hellboy in Hell Library Edition. As we all know, it is essentially available at prohibitive prices at this point. Since I have not been into this for long, I wanted to ask you all if you suggest I hold out on paying above retail or if it's highly unlikely it'll ever be reprinted. I'm not planning on making a scalper's day, but I also understand that books are collectibles.

Edit: I mistranslated the word scalping from other hobbies I have. However, it is clear to me that books are actually collectibles and market price will increase with scarcity. I have misused the word scalping.

hi to everyone, im a casual fan of hellboy and bprd (didn't read everything, just until the right hand of doom and casually other short stories and random lore from internet), still trying to catch up with everything but it's one of my favorite comic universe with the most iconic stories and art styles to be honest, not just Mignola even if he's one of my favorite artist in the world... btw

the thing is, i wanted to tattoo something from hellboy and some years ago i thought about the effigy of Hecate, the head-skull with the snakes that pops from the eyes, but clearly i can't find a fucking picture online because internet sucks nowdays.

So, some of you knows how to help me? Or at least tell me where i can find it so i can search in the comics by myself? Or if you have some ideas about a hellboy tattoo let me know, i'm open to suggestion especially if you're an artist :)
