Dreamliner in the Quetzalcoatl livery. A grail of mine for a while. Glad SQ gave us a chance to own it and not pay the crazy aftermarket prices on eBay for the GJ, JC or IF releases.

I’m looking to buy my first diecast model. Where can I find high quality 1:200 models within the $100-$200 range?

Finally a 1:200 diecast Air France A318. The model uses an Inflight 200 mould and has nice sharp detail work all around the model. For me this was a must buy especially since I flew on this exact registration back in March.

I’ve been collecting off and on for about two years and only have a handful of models. I have always known that Gemini jets can have poor quality and most sellers won’t take them back, for the future I’m wondering if anyone would like to fill me in about if I should keep collecting them for a better bang for my buck.

I have limited myself to only buying IF200 A320 series ever since Geminijets tooling went down the drain. My only two GJ A320 series aircraft are the original Air Canada A321 (2008 release) which reminds me a bit of the SQ detailing. The other is a United A319 which was already a hugely downgraded mould but borderline acceptable to purchase. Included are some comparison photos of SQ vs GJ and you can really see where GJ has cut costs and why it’s hard to support buying their models anymore… I didn’t have a chance to compare to IF200 yet but it’s in the works.

The nose section, landing gear and overall attention to detail is fantastic. This is definitely the best A32X series mould in 1/200. The box and packaging is wonderful as well which can be seen on their official website.

Not GJ.... but The top model I have wanted for years. Finally! Herpa NASA B-52H in 1:200. This model has been so hard to source!

I remember a time when Gemini 200 were the premiere models in the industry, seems that's no longer the case?

I’m currently living in Poland due to work, and I’ve recently been considering getting back into collecting 1:200 scale aircraft models.

Ideally, I’d like to restart my collection with the Lufthansa 100th anniversary livery Boeing 747-8 or even the A320NEO. However, I’m struggling to find a reliable place to purchase one. There do not appear to be any specialist retailers in Poland, and the only listing I have found so far is on AliExpress for around €70 including shipping. I’m concerned that it may be a counterfeit or a lower-quality replica.

Could anyone recommend a trustworthy retailer in Poland or elsewhere in Europe that sells genuine 1:200 scale models and ships to Poland?

Both 75's and 777 are NG, DC-10 series 30 is Dragon Wings and MD-83 is Gemini Jets. Unfortunately, chrome on some parts are starting to tarnish :(

I’m definitely a SQ Wings glazer at this point, but how could you not be when the models look like this? Look at that detail work. Just insane.

To be clear, I don't actually know that much about the model making hobby (I like aviation in general though). I just want to know what makes these different

Edit2: after sending them an email they accepted my refund, and hopefully within the next 4 to 6 weeks I will get my Plane.

SQWings just released their first A350-900, and wow. It is actually breathtaking. The level of detail and thought that went into this model is unsurpassed by anything else on the market. They put a level of detail into this model that I actually didn’t even know was possible on a 1:200 model.

Gemini Jets has a LOT of work to do. I will let the photos speak for themselves.

I recently made a post calling Gemini Jets garbage for their excessive quality issues. To balance that out, I’d like to bring some positivity and show a FANTASTIC model.

This is their newly released 1:200 MD-11. It’s amazing. I’ll let the photos do all the talking. Look at the quality of the landing gear, more specifically.

I recently got a chance to see the lufthansa a380 d-aimm up VERY close and was hoping there was somewhere i could get a 1:400 scale version of that exact aircraft to go into my collection, i saw aviation400's model but found it has been discontinued, if anybody has one in their collection they are willing to part with or knows where I can get one i would appreciate it very much.

I’ve been going nuts waiting for this to release, because I know how good SQ’s 747 is already. This just takes the cake.

Please, do yourself a favor and go with SQ for all the 100th anniversary releases.

Just look at this crap. Every single gear is loose, can’t even support the weight of the plane. Not to mention it looks like shit. Why? Why are we tolerating this crap?
