Any one had problems with click?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking at replacing the grill on my BBQ with a custom 804 stainless steel grill.

I've been quoted around $200 + $30 shipping, but before I commit, I thought I'd see if anyone local could do it for a better price or point me in the right direction.

I'm flexible with how it's done. I've found a supplier that can provide the stainless bars, but I'm also happy for someone to supply all the materials and fabricate the complete grill if that's easier.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Kia ora everyone, sadly my mum was flown urgently to Dunedin hospital last night as she's had a heart attack. Since it was so urgent she's got nothing with her and I'm in Auckland. I wanted to do a warehouse click and collect or possibly someone could do a small shop for me and deliver it to her ward today? I'm happy to pay. I’m a current 3rd year student, with semester 1 2027 being my last and I’m trying to assess the flatting options available.

This is my 2nd year of flatting now and as an introvert I have found it quite hard!! I honestly think I might be better suited to independent living as I did quite enjoy halls (Te Rangihīroa) but would love ability to cook own meals and without the RAs!

I’d rather not sign a 12 month lease and have to stress about finding someone to take over my room halfway through the year, as it seems that all the Dunedin flatting Facebook groups are full of that! Has anyone else been in this situation and had success?

Are there any good options for semester only accommodation, or any advice on the best way to go about it?

I was also wondering if anyone happens to be going on exchange in semester 1 2027 and will need a place for semester 2. If so, it could be great to organise something where we effectively swap over at the semester break.

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

So me and two others are searching for a 4th flatmate to bunk with for next year. We already have a flat in mind and the contract needs to be signed next week but we just need a fourth person to fulfill the requirements. So it’s pretty time sensitive. We are looking for someone that is hygienic, doesn’t smoke or drink( as for the landlord preferences), studious and preferably an international student.

The flat is located in the city centre near the Meridian Mall and pretty convenient for every day use. The flat is apartment style and it’s fully furnished( this includes 4 individual,spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, TV, cutlery, wardrobe, single glazed windows, shared kitchen with cooking apparatus provided, washer and dryer, storage rooms, heat pump, smoke alarms, line drying space for clothes, study table and chair, Double bed with mattress provided as well).

We are searching for someone who is within the age range of 17-20. Studying in the university of Otago and preferably in 2nd year of study. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you a picture of the said flat.

I'm looking to branch out a bit and thought I'd ask for some ideas.

I'm 30, based in Dunedin, and a working professional who's always been a bit of a workaholic. For a long time, a big part of my life revolved around a community that I've recently stepped away from. As a result, I've realised I'm feeling pretty lonely. Most of my social circle was tied up in that part of my life, so it feels like I'm starting from scratch.

I'd really like to meet some new people, make some genuine friendships, and find a few hobbies that get me out of the house and away from work.

I'm open to almost anything. Hiking, volunteering, board games, photography, social sports, classes, or anything a bit different. I'd love to hear what's out there.

What clubs, groups, or regular activities around Dunedin would you recommend?

Hey we need to sell up in Brisbane and move to Dunedin. We’ll never be able to afford a good house on big land. I’m wondering what folks think of the feasibility of buying a shitty house in Dunedin and then just land with no dwelling/just a shed somewhere within an hour’s drive of Dunedin. Somewhere we could grow a bit of food, maybe a couple of cows, with security cameras to monitor any livestock in case of emergencies and just commute. Is this totally stupid? I can’t afford the dream so I’m trying to cobble something together.

This bus has been horrible for at least the last 5 years. It is the only way for many of us living out on the peninsula to get to work and it constantly does not show up or is wildly late. This bus only comes once and hour during non rush hour periods and it not showing up can fuck up anyone's day.

How does the city not prioritize busses that are the only lifeline to the city? How has this one bus stayed in such a shit state?

Will I find out before a bus eventually shows up during this cold morning?

i’m wanting to eventually study social services at the polytech in dunedin but i have to do the bridging course first, has anyone else done it and if so could you give me some insight into it? ty
