Lately, I’ve been really into AUs where Voldemort never existed—meaning there was no First or Second Wizarding War, so James and Lily are alive to raise Harry. I’d love a fic where Draco and Harry end up together, but where blood supremacy still exists (more along the lines of politics and segregation rather than the Death Eater style), and that tension is the crux of the conflict between them. Does anyone know of a story like that on AO3? It doesn't have to be from there, but that’s the platform I’m most familiar with.

Hello everyone! Like the title says, I'm looking for a beta reader for a drarry fanfic I've written on ao3. It's completed, and now I'd like to print and bind it to have a physical copy of my work, but I'd love to have a clean version. If someone helped me correct the whole fic I could print and send you a phisycal copy as a thank you :)

About the story: it's a 143,637 words fic, with 19 chapters. I only need grammatical/ortographic corrections (no plot corrections as it's completed and posted already). I have edited it once already but since English is not my first laguage I'm sure there are still a lots of errors. And if you are Brittish and can Britpick it, that would be simply perfect!

Ive been reading a fic that has probably my favourite Draco ever and im looking for other fics with this characterization: rebellious, daring, outwardly confident (but hiding vulnerability within), loud and slightly unhinged. This fic had Draco running away from the manor in 4th year, loudly calling himself a blood traitor, wearing makeup, jewelry and slutty clothes and basically doing everything under the sun to piss his father off. He becomes a huge fun of ABBA and wears a disco jumpsuit to the yule ball. He’s similar to how teenage sirius is usually written in fanon: theatrical, impulsive, attractive, he thrives under attention and is protective of his friends. Hes also very posh, vengeful, clever and a little mad. His pov has been really fun to read, so id appreciate any recs that have something even remotely similar to this vibe. Thanks!

I’m looking for some Drarry recs because I’m chasing the feeling Turn by Saras_Girl gave me. Podfics would be my first choice at the moment, but I’m happy to get regular fic recs too. I actually picked up Running on Air because of a podfic recommendation.

What I loved most about Turn wasn’t just the romance—it was that the story didn’t end once they got together. I really enjoyed seeing what their relationship actually looked like afterwards: the everyday moments, learning to communicate, building a life together. I also loved the gradual, believable way Harry falls in love.

I just finished Running on Air. I thought the writing was beautiful, and I really liked the atmosphere and characterization, but I ended up a bit disappointed by the ending. I was hoping for a little more between Harry and Draco, and Harry felt a bit too passive for my taste.

I’m also a huge Saras_Girl fan in general. I’ve read Turn, Reparations, Foundations, and most of his longer fics, so I’m mainly looking for something by other authors this time.

I’m looking for:

Guys, I just reread The Shadow In Time by FightFireWithFire and I think that second chapter where they rewrite Voldemort's resurrection is one my all time favorites.

But I also love ShantyStoryteller's version in Survival Is a Talent was so good and creative. I love how they write Harry's magic.

Then Maze in the Mirror by twentysevenclub, I don't remember the event itself very well, but afterwards when Harry just clings to Sirius owns my heart.

Just saw this on tt and yes I’ve read fics with a small scene like this but not to the extent of the whole “why is Potter suddenly hot?” sort of crisis, I would especially love it if Draco spends the next few ch aggressively pretending nothing happened hahaha.

Hello!!!! I read a really good fanfic ages ago (like years) and can’t for the life of me find it now (I hope it’s even still up). I don’t remember the name but I do remember that it was drarry (obviously), Draco made some sort of deal with a mysterious woman who he would then have sex with (not sure what he got out of it anymore) but it wasn’t very safe sane and consensual and at some point Harry started to worry about him and wanting to help Draco get out of the deal and the woman turned out be daphne greengrass.

Hogwarts (6 months after the war)

Everything has changed since the war, but for the better. The air wasn't thick with the pressure of knowing something big would happen at any time. No, now when you take a deep breath, you just fucking cough like a madman because Seamus has blown something up again and it's smoke everywhere in the Eight's shared common room.

"How is this even possible?" Ginny coughed and was about to get the wand tucked in her jeans.

But Ginny didn't even reach it before a spell was muttered and the smoke disappeared which revealed an angry Hermione Granger with her wand in her hand, glaring at Weasley.

"Why me, I didn't do anything, it was Seamus!"

"Exactly, you didn't do anything even though you know damn well that..."

Draco drowned them out watching the last clouds of smoke disappear. He snickered when Ginny imitated Granger’s besserwisser behavior. The irony. That he sat here with a Gryffindor, a Weasley, his dad would’ve had a heart attack. 

Ginny was the first person he befriended when he arrived at Hogwarts (well it was rather Ginny who befriended him). The atmosphere had been awkward even between the Slytherins that had returned, but Ginny was the one who had approached him in the library. She had asked Draco with a wide smile to help her with her studies. He had been hesitant at first, why was she even talking to him? But the uneasy feeling had quickly faded over the weeks and he enjoyed his time with her. Ginny was witty, sarcastic and stubborn, she didn’t hesitate to glare back at people who glared at Draco. She reminded him of Vince. They would often joke about Ginny being Draco’s bodyguard.

“… yell at Harry too!“

The name got Draco to whip his head around, his gaze landing on Potter who blinked innocently and pouted. He pouted. Draco ignored the warm sensation blooming in his chest and watched the scene unfold. Potter had started arguing with Weasley, Granger had joined in on their conversation, making much more sense than the two boys who were starting to push each other. 

“Ginny help your brother out!” Weasley shouted and gaped at Ginny with pleading eyes. 

Ginny rose up, leaving Draco by himself on the couch and strode towards The Golden trio. Weasley beamed and put a grin on his face, triumphant. She shoved away her brother whose face quickly changed when Ginny swung an arm around Potter’s shoulders.

“Leave poor Harry alone, you git”

“Betrayed, by my own family” 

A twinge of jealousy replaced the warm feeling in Draco’s chest. Jealousy. Draco looked away from the scene and again, tuned them out. He wished he could chime in with a snarky comment without them thinking he was a brat, maybe swing his own arm around Potter. Even though Draco and Ginny could act like snarky little children, Draco was still not that comfortable around the other Gryffindors. Pansy and Blaise took a seat on the couch and Draco couldn’t help but smile a little. He was glad the friendship between the Slytherins wasn’t as superficial as it used to be, it was slowly turning into something genuine. 

“The Gryffindors are as loud as usual, I wonder if they’ve ever sat in silence”

“Probably when Hermione studies in the library, they would be wise not to disturb her”

When had Pansy started using her first name? He must have missed something, but to be honest, it wasn’t very different for the Wealsette becoming Ginny instead. 

“Have they ever been that bright though?”

They snickered, it was different, this was all friendly teasing, unlike how it used to be. 

“Wipe those shit eating grins from your faces, this is a serious matter” Ginny said sarcastically and waved a hand nonchalantly at them. 

“Do you even know what you’re arguing about?” Pansy sneered back. 

The Golden trio and Ginny glanced at each other, searching for an answer and before Granger could say something, Blaise chimed in:

“My opinion, even though I really can’t wrap my very wise mind about what the argument is about, Harry is right” Blaise winked at Potter who shot his eyebrows up in before a blush appeared on his face.

Draco snorted and glared at Blaise, an uneasy feeling growing in his chest again. That was weird though, when had Blaise sodding Zabini started calling Potter Harry?

The lake was sparkling and the wind picked up a chilly feeling from it before hitting Draco’s coated body. It was quiet, peaceful even. Contrary from the emotions that dwelled inside his delicate body, emotions that traveled from the top of his mind down to his curling toes. Feelings were irrelevant during the war, being soulless like The Dark Lord was something you strived for. But Draco wasn’t even close to heartless, he tried burying his feelings but letting Potter live, fetching food and books to the prisoners in his dungeon, wishing and hoping for The Chosen One to save the world, to save him from the numbness was far from heartless. It was something his mind healer reminded him of, Draco was and is still human. Draco didn’t know what he felt even though he had felt hope, pity and guilt, the feeling in his chest was unfamiliar. He was unaccustomed to the emotions which made him frustrated. Draco felt the anger piling and he started counting down from ten. 

“Draco?” He turned around and saw red hair surrounding a worried face. “I keep finding you here all by yourself, are you feeling okay, hm?”

“Yeah, it’s okay, I guess, I don’t really know Ginny”

“Is something troubling you? What are you feeling?” She knew about it since the first breakdown Draco got in Hogwarts. She had stroked his hair and told him to count, to ground his emotions and talk about everything. 

“I think… I think I was…” Draco trailed off, couldn’t finish the sentence when the embarrassment was burning in his core.

Ginny was usually very impatient, tapping her feet when she stood in line or threatening people to walk faster before she would kick their butts. But it was different when Draco was spiraling down in his thoughts, switching between pushing away the emotions and being hit with them all at once. Ginny watched him carefully and smiled encouragingly. Waiting patiently despite her usual impatience. 

“I think it was jealousy, the thing I felt” 

“Oh, towards whom?”

“Potter and his friends, or Blaise, or just…”

“Harry?”

“Yeah” Draco exhaled, a warm puff of air forming. 

Ginny’s eyes bore into him, like she knew exactly what he felt. It should be weird talking about Potter with her, considering their past relationship but it felt like any other topic. Draco didn’t exactly know why they’d broken up but he knew there were no hard feelings between the exes. 

“I wish it was because of how the war changed us all, but Harry never loved me, not like I wanted to and my feelings faded. He is more like a best friend, a brother really. I was more in love with the thought of loving him” Ginny sighed, like she was reading Draco’s mind.

“You don’t have to explain, it’s none of my business” Draco splattered, embarrassed about… something, but the frustration he’d felt before slowly changed into a warm feeling.

The chilly weather got even colder. Draco had layers of clothing, scarf, beanie, a t-shirt under his shirt, two sweaters and mittens under a warming spell. The Eight years had decided to take a walk around the lake, a soft chatter swirling around in the air. Blaise and Pansy walked with Draco, some steps behind the whole group. They all walked with careful steps after they’d witnessed Neville slip, his arse hitting the snowy ground, leaving him whimpering and muttering curses. 

“Oh no, they’ve started, the Gryffindors are being Gryffindors” 

Draco looked up and saw Weasley cupping a snowball, trying to be sly and then throwing it to the large group. Apparently not even aiming for a specific person. A shriek was heard and Weasley’s grin slowly turned into something horrified. Granger, he had struck Hermione Granger. Pansy couldn’t help the amused snort coming out from her mouth and Blaise started laughing at Weasley’s mouth which was open in horror. 

“How dare you!” Granger pulled out her wand and several snowballs levitated up, chasing Weasley who ran for his life. 

So it began, snowballs whooshing through the air, hitting people left and right. Giggling 18-years old fresh from the war.

heyyy so I’ve recently read the Mutatum series by Vichan (https://archiveofourown.org/series/1637290) and my life has been CHANGED so I was wondering if anyone had any fic recs with similar characterisation and similar ways that Harry changes to interact with dark magic? other favourites of mine include the Evan’s Boy series and just dark Harry fics or slytherin Harry fics in general! I love how dark magic is shown in the Mutatum universe and would like to hopefully see some more that are similar to it? I’m hoping for some long slow burns at Hogwarts with these themes but honestly any and all dark Harry fics please please could you recommend them!
