I think most of can agree that while Dancehall can be very sexualized, simply posting a video girls dancing to dancehall, is insufficient for a post. Technically these posts will break rule 4 of the sub, but I want to make it clear and start enforcing it.
I would like to challenge the redditors here to discuss new and old music, artists and more.
Violations of this when a mod sees these will now result in a temporary ban from the subreddit.
If you want to see and post ass there are other subreddits for that.
Music videos from official channels get a pass because well, dancehall is sexualized a lot and its a music video. At least for now.
Thanks.
Edit: apparently r/skinout has the content those who want ass are looking for. Go there.

This subreddit has been a lawless one for sometime and lacked some attention from us as mods. So I wanted to take time out to see what some of the redditors on this sub are interested in as well as reinforce some of the expectations of this sub from earlier times.

There's an old dancehall-style song that I heard back in...the late 80s or early 90s, I'm not sure which exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was in that era. The lyrics went something like this from what I can remember - I am not as well versed in patois as I probably should be, and I'm probably going to butcher some of this, for which I apologize.
I can only remember little bits and pieces of the lyrics, but the first line below is more or less how I remember the chorus going.:
-"We don't want no government to die for, them a come extradite we"
-We are the leaders of the JLP"
-"You fi extradite him, you fi extradite we, you fi extradite anybody"
-"We develop them land, we are the backbone of the country"
It's obviously a more politically charged song, and seems to be talking about a crackdown on the Jamaican Labor Party (I'm assuming from the JLP reference). For the life of me it sounds in my head a lot like a Super Cat song, but it doesn't show up in any discography of his and I don't remember him really doing a ton of politically motivated songs.
All of this is why I feel like it was on a mixtape or even something I heard on the radio way back when, rather than as a major album release, possibly to avoid a crackdown, I don't know.
Any help on this would be sorely appreciated as I've been dying to hear this song again!

I found a WL 7" of this with handwritten 'Concentration Camp' written on it. The label is also off-center. What's the story?

Cash Carrera goes back to his old sound of Baile Funk fusion with UK drill and melodic auto-tune.

I remember listening to a song in the mid 90s, was played by funk flex on hot 97 a few times. Last time I heard is was mid 2000s, told myself to remember the song... yah didn't write it down and have not heard it since :( . I believe it is dancehall or one of flexs remixes. I can only remember the chorus. "Ohh say ganja nah we smoke, sparking up the philly". I thought it was Bounty Killer or Buju Banton but I am striking out.
