Heavy Eyes and Sinus Pressure Today!

Anyone else having the above today in the Danbury area? I feel so out of it and can’t understand why? All that I can think of is that we went from a clear non humid day on Monday then with the storm on Tuesday the barometric pressure dropped rapidly. I’ve heard that can cause sinus pressure issues. Sinus problems stink!!

I usually go to Stop and Shop off Lake Ave, but that has been a disaster recently. Where are some other places to go that I can return/recycle any bottles/cans?

Moving Company Recommendations

Hello - I am moving out of my house in Danbury to a house in New Fairfield. Does anyone have recommendations for a moving company? Debating on doing the smaller stuff myself and the company doing the large furniture or just having them do everything. Moving out of a 4 bedroom raised ranch. Thank you.

Danbury Mall

What’s up with the temps in there lately? Are they not turning the air on in the main walking areas and only cooling the stores? I never remembered it ever being that hot inside until the more recent years. Maybe they should put some window tint or close up the skylights to keep the cool air in. Seems like it’s just as hot in there as it is outside!

Friends of the C.H. Booth Library Sale- July 10th-July 14th

Friday is really intended if you are a professional dealer or a hardcore collector.

Saturday if you have specific newish books or high demand categories you want things from.

I've done the free day and they do generally still have quite a few kids books left if you need to snag large quantities for classroom or Little Library, but no popular titles will be left at that point. Lots of no-name early readers like A is for... kind of vibe.

Harrybrooke Park in New Milford seeking medical props for Haunted Hospital Halloween haunt- donations accepted July 11th

Scarrybrooke Park Haunted Trail

Help Us Heal... Or Haunt!
Donated Medical Supplies Needed!
New Milford Lions Club will be building a terrifying "Haunted Hospital" scene for this season's Scarrybrooke Park Haunted Trail at Harrybrooke Park
We need your help to bring the horror to life! We are seeking donations of expired, surplus, or old medical, doctor's office, and hospital supplies to build our set. We will be accepting donations on Saturday, July 11 from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Harrybrooke Park at the maintenance building, we call it the Barn (across from the Peacocks!)

Best of all? 100% of the event proceeds directly support 6 local non-profit organizations.

What We Need?
We need clean, safe, but realistic medical props. Please bring any of the following items:

  • Scrubs & Gowns: Lab coats, patient gowns, and surgical scrubs (stains are gross but fine!)
  • Clinic Furniture: IV poles, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, or old exam stools (only the kinds of stools you sit on please)
  • Consumables: Unused gauze, bandages, medical tape, and expired PPE (masks/gloves)
  • Office Equipment: Anatomical models, charts, clipboards, and old waiting room items, even patients!
  • Plasticware: Empty (yes only empty ones) specimen cups, wash basins, and plastic trays.
  • Maternity/Nursery: Cribs. Baby sheets, blankets.
