[UK] Any reputable sources to buy Mavic Pro (1) batteries?

I just got my Mavic Pro out of the cupboard for the first time in years and noticed I have a "spicy pillow".

I need to find a replacement. Ali express and eBay cam up but feel like I need to approach with caution

I have the Mavic 3 pro with RC pro controller and it’s showing my OSD on the feed for broadcast. I have live view only selected. Has anyone ran into this before?

Mavic Air 3 having landing issue at night and doing hard bounces off the ground.

So after the last firmware update Or maybe the one before my DJI mavic air 3 started to have this recurring issue where when it descends, typically at dusk (I do a lot of sunset hyperlapses) and it's almost like the down throttle gets stuck with the ground sensors off. It will do these very fast uncontrollable descents and regardless of how much up-throttle you give it, it will bounce hard off of the ground and then ascend about 15 or 20 ft and hover. I'm really worried that one of these times is just going to break, it can't be good for the hardware.

I tried reaching out to DJI customer service because it seems like a software issue and they want me to send it to them for potential repair which will take 2 weeks and certainly cost a bunch of money. I would honestly rather the drone break and make an insurance claim for a new one than lose 2 weeks of summer sunsets.

I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing the same or similar issue and if anyone has found a fix. Prior to this issue I have hundreds of flights on this drone and no crashes. It's disappointing that it would suddenly have this issue out of the blue from a firmware update. I wish I could revert back to an old firmware.

I'm not sure if this helps but another symptom since the last firmware update is everything on the drone seems really sluggish clicking through menus, etc. And sometimes the controller will actually freeze and the app will need to be restarted on the rc2 for it to function.

Video for attention and to show im competant: https://youtu.be/KHPw1rm1CpE?is=tCshs4\\_yZbW9ba3u

Do you actually pay for an Operator ID every year, or do most people just take the risk?

Post image

I recently bought what was advertised as a DJI Mini 2 SE from CeX, but it turned out to be a DJI Mini 4K (same airframe, just a different model).

While looking into the rules, I realised I'd need to pay for an Operator ID every year if I'm going to fly it.

It's not really the cost that annoys me—it's the principle. I've already bought the drone, so having to keep paying every year just to use it doesn't sit right with me.

I'm genuinely curious what people actually do in practice.

\- Do you just pay the Operator ID every year without thinking about it?

\- Have you ever decided it wasn't worth it?

\- Has anyone here actually been stopped by the police or the CAA and asked to show their Operator ID or Flyer ID?

I'm not asking for advice on breaking the law. I'm just interested in hearing real experiences and how common checks actually are.

Best place to sell Mavic Pro 3

I know you get best exposure on EBay but the fees will kill ya.

Swappa is pretty good for phones but not much activity on drones

Facebook Marketplace. great for free stuff but if you ask for Monday it’s crickets.

MavicPilots not sure how much traction that forum even has these days.

Any advice?

Controller for DJI Mavic 2

I don't have a phone that works on the DJI GO 4 app anymore and I need a controller with a screen. Can I buy a new controller or will I need to buy a specific one from E-Bay or a second hand sight?

$1300 repair?!?

How far DJI has fallen in the repair sector 😔 how can a gimbal *repair* be almost $600 when a gimbal replacement on ebay is less than $300. Also, why cant a new SD card reader be soldered on instead of replacing the entire motherboard?

Dji drone charger

Hi! I accidentally left my DJI Mavic Air 2 charger at home. I’m staying in Laganas until Tuesday. If anyone nearby has a compatible charger and would be willing to let me charge my battery (or lend it for a short time), I’d really appreciate it. Happy to meet anywhere in Laganas. Thanks!

I love flying drones but hate spending hours editing. So I built a Windows app to auto-sync flights to music (free tier/local processing).

Process for DJI repair service

I need to send my Air 2S in for repair so I filled out the website repair application/form about 10 days ago but have not heard anything from DJI about sending it in to them. Just curious regarding their “normal” response times and to make sure there’s not anything else I need to do.

UK A2 category - "low speed mode" and cine mode

Question for the good folk here: under the UK's A2 categorisation, does the Mavic 3 pro (cine) flight mode's "cine mode" count as a "low-speed" mode and thereby allow for a minimum 5m horizontal separation?

Mavic Pro unused and stored for 4 years giving a gimbal motor overload error

I was given a Mavic Pro, it hasn't been used for years. First thing I had to do is to get the batteries repaired, I was told that they done zero cycles. Eventually after getting the DJI Go 4 app and the latest firmware installed the drone did eventually fly but only a very short distance, I was getting constant 'gimbal motor overload' errors. The drone landed safely. I did try a gimbal calibration test but it only completed 5% before quitting.
Reading some other 'gimbal motor overload' solutions, it seems that a ribbon cable may need replacing?
Would this be the case or is there any other causes?
Yes, the shield and guard were removed before it was flown. The gimbal moves smooth and free without any tightness or restriction.
Any suggestions to why I'm encountering the problem will be appreciated. TIA
