How y'all doing with the wildfire smoke?
I can't be the only one whose throat, eyes, sinuses, and lungs feel scorched. Or am I sensitive?

I noticed the Nexus Park electronic billboard said something about a BBQ place coming to Nexus Park... Does anyone have information on this?

My husband and I (~50 yo) are considering relocating to the Columbus IN area. We really love going to bars and watching live music (especially rock/ rock-adjacent covers). Is there much of a scene there or is going up to Indy better? Thanks!

This is a follow-up "Part 3" from a post I made earlier this week...
As you may or may not know, I'm creating Indiana High Schools within the newest NCAA College Football 27's Team Builder. Solely for us fans who don't want to just play with the big names, but want to play with some well-known High-Schools too!
In "Part 2" I took some of your suggestions to heart and took my best shot at making them for you: (https://www.reddit.com/r/Indiana/s/8G6iOS2A99)
In this slideshow, you can find previews of the following teams:
- Warren Central Warriors
- Harrison Raiders
- Columbus East Olympians
- Columbus North Bulldogs
- Ben Davis Giants (I named them the Giant Sentinels, so that way the announcer can say the team name and Sentinels is kinda close to Giants)
As of right now, I only have space for 32 teams on my account, and I'm starting to run out of room. That being said, please feel free to comment or suggest a team I should make so you can use them in the game yourself.
Here is who we have coming up:
New Castle Trojans, Bloomington South Panthers, Lawrence Central Bears, Cathedral Irish, Center Grove Trojans, Frankfort Hotdogs, and the Logansport Berries.
To find the teams that I've finished building, I believe you search for my Username, which is "vtgindy."
Go Indiana Sports Ball!

I just recently got a new puppy and she’s ready for her first vet visit! I need recommendations for vets in Columbus for puppy vaccines and fixing! (preferably affordable, I took my cats to Hope Veterinary and my head just about spun around at the cost)

Grace Kestler launched her campaign 16 months before Election Day. Will Columbus stick with Mayor Mary Ferdon’s vision, or choose something different?

Hello all,
I'm making this post because last night, July 4th, my pet parakeet flew out of the house and we were unable to find him. I'm aware pet birds don't fly far, so if anybody between the Donut Central and BCSC buildings sees a grey/yellow parakeet either in a tree or on the ground, please call me at 317-447-1916.
Further description of the bird:
He's mostly grey with a yellow head. He's very skittish so if you see him please do not approach quickly as I'm afraid he might fly off. His name is Nimbus.
Thank you all.

Be honest: if you were living in colonial America 250 years ago, would you be a patriot or a loyalist?

Are there any vacation type rentals at Grandview like a Vrbo or Airbnb type for a week? Trying to plan my trip for next year while visiting family. Thanks in advance.

I did back in 2008 when I was just a Kid. She blamed me for leaving my scooter and when I tried to explain the situation she said something rude saying "I don't care" before I was even able to say a single word. I hated that woman. It was back when Monarch Crossing was Prestwick Square. I don't miss living there, the town of Columbus, or the state of Indiana because of rude People like her. Because this town is full of stuck up rich people, it has rude People.

I'm Josh Burbrink, the Democrat running for State House against Ryan Lauer in District 59, which covers most of Bartholomew County. Using a new account I made for the campaign.
Day job, I run data infrastructure for a local fiber internet company. The rest of the time I'm a volunteer firefighter (and board member) out in Harrison Township, I help run the Friends of the Library nonprofit, I'm on the Sierra Club Winding Waters Committee, and on the County Planning and Zoning board. Sixth generation Hoosier, live on the west side of town near Brown County.
Figured I'd do this two ways.
First, ask me anything. What a State Representative actually does, SEA 1 and what it means for your property taxes and our fire departments, the library, the schools, the data centers everybody's fighting over, or why a firefighter who works in tech decided to run. Agree with me or not, both are useful to me. I'll be in the comments tonight answering and I'll keep checking back over the next few days.
Second, if you'd rather do this over a beer, I'm having a meet and greet at the Columbus Bar on 4th Street, Thursday July 16 at 7. Grab a beer and tell me what you're seeing in your part of the county.
Details and RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/share/1G1Lcpafj7/
Ask away.

Maybe a long shot but wondering if anyone is considering selling their mini-van? Planning to buy one around November-January
Looking for a well maintained car with less than 150k miles, 100k-110k miles would be ideal.
In order of priority, looking for a: Sienna, Odyssey, sedona or Carnival and last option, Chrysler.
