Bugs & Game Feedback zeus king death animation is the most annoying thing in a long time
i hate how much of the board it covers up, i've messed up multiple attacks after the enemy zeus king dies and covers up their defense with his obnoxious repeating death animation

Discussion Did Supercell stop 4X event because they added ores to the star bonus ?
I mean I can't remember the last time we had this event, we used to get them frequently before
r/ClashOfClans • u/sootyredd • 12h ago
Discussion Why aren't guardians affected by the event discount? Are they temporary after all?
Discount isn't applied to temporary content only such as supercharges and crafted defenses...

Personal Accomplishments For those playing at TH17 and TH18, am I the only one who feels like army variety isn't what it used to be?
It feels like almost every top player is using the same army with only minor variations. Classic strategies like Hog Riders, LavaLoon, and many other iconic armies have almost disappeared from the meta.
I miss when there were more viable armies and more creativity in both attacks and base designs. Does anyone else feel the same, or am I just being nostalgic?
Do you think Supercell should make some changes to encourage more army variety again?

Ideas & Concepts Make meteor staff meteor summoning speed/falling speed faster
I can't help but notice how many times a building gets destroyed before meteor staff's meteors even land
In this one ranked attack I had, the staff had 4 wasted meteors due to the building being destroyed before it even lands, thats 3400 damage just completely wasted, and I'm pretty sure this happens to pretty much every attack
This makes me think maybe the dark crown really was the better investment the entire time lol as the main argument between the two is how much damage theyll put out in the span of an entire attack and this just shows the meteor staff probably has lower total damage output on a real attack due to how much it misses, meanwhile the dark crown cant really miss as theyre auto attacks

Bugs & Game Feedback Recently a bug with hero journey going on with things displaying as claimed when you didn't. I think I found the cause for it. Because it takes time to finish quests to claim the things and if you reach the next quest without claiming the previous one that's available the games counts it as claimed.

Discussion Why am I being punished for spending more?
I know there are first time deals on stuff like gold pass but this is not it, we have the same deals on everything but his stuff are cheaper. My game is in English but we're both still in Turkey and I used to have cheaper prices as well but then mine rose as I spent and since he never spent, his stayed the same price. This doesn't feel right though, it's like punishing the customer for being loyal and spending on their game instead of other games and this is really annoying to me.

Personal Accomplishments Is this how you are supposed to use summerjam? 🤣
r/ClashOfClans • u/jannevon • 20h ago
Discussion Do we still save our builder potions and wait for hammer jam?
I'm a returning player from the time where TH11 was the max townhall. I started playing again last month but I'm so behind that I decided to just make a new account.
From watching different videos to catch up, I see that the number 1 advice is to save your builder potions for hammer jam to save months of progress.
I just reached TH18 from TH16 today so I get to keep the 52% cost and time reduction if we add the gold pass. I'm way behind in hero levels and defenses, so should I still wait? I have saved this many potions so far.

Guide No-Hero-Charge Hydra Army Strategy
I’ve seen a bunch of posts lately asking for army and Ranked mode help. Reaching Electro Rank isn't too hard with a decent setup. I wrote this instead of copying and pasting my army composition every time someone asked, so I’m writing this comprehensive guide (and also to join the giveaway 🤫).
This is my No-Hero-Charge Hydra strategy. Personally, I find Hero Charges slow and boring, plus if you screw up the charge, it’s incredibly hard to recover and it's easy to time-fail by accident. I know I'm not alone in that opinion, but no hate if you like it.
Using this setup, I pushed into Electro League with a 99.9% average destruction rate and an average attack time of 2 minutes. I consistently get 3 stars on Maxed TH 18 Bases and land in the top 25 of my Ladder. The army was made for Th17+ but in the Troop breakdown I Include lower level substitutions you can take, to still use this strategy.
If you like the concept, here is the link to the army: Army Import Link
If you have any Questions about this attack strategy/guide I'm more then happy to answer some comments in the description.
TLDR: Make a funnel with the Queen's Giant Arrow, and the electro dragon. Drop everything between them, Rage into the core, and then Overgrowth the flank of the Town Hall so that the army focuses the Town Hall. Use Revives on the Duke to secure the 3-Star.
Note: My army camps are still TH 17 since, I upgraded to TH 18 during the Summer Jam event and have been only leveling Heroes all month. Drop the Baby dragon, take a Dragon and a Minion if your army camps are maxed. if your lower then TH17 and don't have totems take Ice spells and Lightning spells the attack will still work, make sure you take totems in the CC if you can get them..
The Opening Strategy:
- Neutralize The Air Sweepers: Sweepers are the absolute bane of this attack. Identify them first. You will place your Archer Queen in line with them, aiming for maximum value in this specific priority order: (Image: 4)
- 2x Air Sweepers > 1x Air Sweeper + at least 1x Air Defense > 1x Air Sweeper pointing toward your main attack vector.
- Establish Your Funnel: Look to the sides of your Queen. Drop your Electro Dragon where it can safely chain down 2–4 buildings. This creates an air gap so that your main army funnels inside the base instead of walking around the perimeter. Since your queen will do the same on the opposite side of the funnel. (Image: 4)
- Drop Your Army: Drop all of your remaining troops, Heroes, and your Siege Machine right between the dead Electro Dragon and your Archer Queen. (image 6)
- Placement order is Dragons > Riders > Heros > Siege Machine. Save your Baby Dragon/Minion for cleanup.
- Assault The Core: Drop your Rage Spell just inside the first layer of the base to draw your main army directly into the core.
Once the army is moving, you will need to react to the base layout. These steps happen dynamically, and with practice will become intuitive:
- Minion Prince Ability: Activate this when he faces the core and the army is approaching. Line this up with your Rage Spell to maximize its value.
- Grand Warden Ability: Trigger the immunity when your mass of troops begins taking heavy AoE damage. This keeps them alive and allows them to heal back to full.
- Overgrowth Spell: Drop this on the side of the base if your troops start wandering away from the Town Hall, or use it to temporarily freeze high-value defenses so your army can safely clear the distraction buildings first. (Image 5)
- Freeze Spell: Drop this on key core defenses that you chose not to Overgrowth. Use it strictly on high-DPS targets that are directly in your army's path to stop them from shredding your dragons.
- Totem Spells: Use these to soak up defensive targeting in the core. Make sure you place them so that Flame Spitters or Scattershots turn away from your main army when possible. Always save at least 1 Totem for the absolute end of the fight when you revive your Duke.
- Revive Spells: Save these exclusively for the Dragon Duke. Reviving him guarantees he keeps amassing value with his Electro Fangs. When you use your final Revive on the Duke at the end of the match, drop your final saved Totem to ensure he clears the remaining defenses safely. Most attacks end with 1 or both of my Revives unspent, you could make the choice to take an extra Ice/Totem spell if you prefer, but they are your contingency plan and I prefer to have the spare, for when I mess up a funnel or an Archer arrow, which still happen from time to time.
Below are the Reasons I have for why each troop/Hero/Equipment/Pets was chosen, you can use this to know why I made the choices I made and possibly substitute your own options into the army, if you are missing something in the army.
Archer Queen
- Giant Arrow: Mandatory. Must be at least Level 6 to one-shot Air Sweepers and Air Defenses during the opener.
- Action Figure/Magic Mirror: Personal preference. I prefer combinations that keep her alive longer over DPS, as once you pop the arrow she will just wander the perimeter and clear out the outside.
- Pet: Frosty (Flexible). Choose whatever pet you prefer that provides decent value before she goes down.
Minion Prince
- Dark Orb: Vital for slowing down the entire core of the base.
- Meteor Staff: Provides insane passive DPS value.
- Pet: Phoenix. Prolongs his life, allowing his meteors to get extra value and letting him DPS down major threats like the Monolith or Revenge Tower.
Dragon Duke
- Fire Heart & Electro Fangs: No Substitutions Both provide insane value. I tested the Stun Blaster originally, and the army was noticeably weaker without Electro Fangs and the Jetpack is not good with this army comp. If lower then Th17, use the Stun blaster and pop the stun when inside the core to stop key defenses.
- Pet: Angry Jelly. This forces the Duke to ignore sparse perimeter wall buildings and instead maximize his Electro Fangs by driving deep into tightly packed defense compartments.
Grand Warden
- Healing Tome & Eternal Tome (Invincibility): The Meta combination for a reason. It keeps the army alive and tops them up to full health.
- Pet: Sneezy. Provides excellent free tanking for both the Warden and your troops. (Budget alternative: Electro Owl if your Sneezy is leveling up).
Troop Breakdown
- Dragons: Your core troop and the main meat shield for your back line.
- Dragon Riders: Back line DPS. They sit safely behind the standard Dragons and snipe defenses with their longer range.
- Electro Dragon: Dedicated funnel maker with the archer.
- Baby Dragon/Minion: Kept in your pocket strictly for cleanup and as a filler troop, place half way through the attack to pick up non-defence buildings your army missed.
Clan Castle Troops
- Skywagon: The absolute best Siege Machine for this attack; provides unmatched value for air attacks. The Stone slammer can be used if you don't have access to it.
- Inferno Dragon: Melts high-HP buildings incredibly fast.
- Ice Hound: Tanks Air Defenses, eats traps and freezes them upon popping, securing a safe passage for your dragons.
Spell Breakdown
- Revives: Kept for the Duke. These are your 3-star insurance policy.
- Totems: Distracts major defenses and keeps the main army healthy.
- Rage: Drives the opening push straight into the base's heart.
- CC Overgrowth: Corrects bad troop pathing and herds stragglers back to the core.
- CC Freeze: Shuts down critical, high-DPS core targets.

Discussion Does anyone else get emotional when they put all their heroes down at the same time? They’re just a cute little family 🥺
I always wonder if they grew up together and if they like each other. The troops they train with always die (well I guess no training anymore) but they’re forever stuck together 🥺
I think it must be sad to be on the battlefield and have to walk past your knocked out fellow hero
