As embarrassing and unfortunate as this post is to make, I’m in a horrible position. I left my abusive ex who hurt me in every way possible. I was no longer safe, nor was my pet cat Bam, and I had to make a quick last minute decision to leave. My ex has terminated their lease sooner than when I was told they’d be doing it, so I am left with a $3000 lease termination fee that I must pay before august 3rd. If not, I will be stuck with $1700 worth of monthly rent until October, which I also cannot afford. I’m still waiting to hear back from all of the hospitals I’ve applied to for work and have been spending all of my saved money on the accumulating monthly bills and expenses. If I don’t have the lease termination fee paid before august 3rd, I will be faced with eviction and all of the fees that come with that. As well as the eviction under my name, so it would be hard to get a new apartment, as I am crashing at my friends for the time being.

Again, this is incredibly embarrassing to be asking for, as well as humbling and I hate to even do this. Anytbing helps, even if it’s just a share or kinds words.

14 years ago, I bought an old little house together with my then-partner, for us and our daughter, who was just one year old at the time. For the 8 years, I’ve been paying the mortgage on my own. Our relationship became unsafe because of his alcohol problem, and I had to leave for the sake of my daughter. To avoid taking away everything she knew, I wanted to keep our home, for her.

I try to not ask for help, but sometimes you have to. Its not easy to ask, and I feel like garbage, but sometimes you get so desperate your pride loses its hold on you.

I have three rescue cats: Rommi(Orange), Sintti(In the 1st picture) and Mortti(No Picture). Rommi and Sintti were captured as kittens after living in the wild, and I’ve had them for about five years. Mortti came later and is older, but healthy.

This fundraiser is for Rommi and Sintti’s dental treatment.

Sintti is the most urgent case. Most of her teeth are in bad condition and will likely need to be removed. Rommi also needs treatment, but his case is less severe.

Sintti is a very fearful cat and cannot be handled normally, so vet visits require trapping her.

Philip is a stray cat who became part of our family when we moved into our new home. When we first found him, he was limping from what we believe was an accident with a small vehicle. Despite his rough start, Philip showed us his gentle spirit. He loves sleeping on top of us, and though he’s introverted, he never minds when his fellow feline friends play around him.

Now Philip is facing a life-threatening challenge. He has been diagnosed with kidney failure. I'm disabled and running on fumes mentally/emotionally in Florence, Oregon facing "pay or vacate notice" in 5 days (January 17th). I'd like to figure out how to minimize or stop accidentally using AI altogether (since a lot of platforms give you no choice) but I unfortunately don't have spoons to really learn new skills or do the level of research needed to figure out ways I can decrease these habits.

I also heard that Windows 11 will be implementing AI automatically and only have one year left of Windows 10. Can a non-techie person easily switch to Linux or do you have to know how to code? Or are there more accessible alternatives?

Jack and his sister Sally have lived with me since November 2024. They were rescued as very young cats from the local shelter in Dortmund. Two days ago Jack suddenly could not urinate anymore. He tried over and over again and nothing came out. My vet tried medication and muscle relaxants, but it did not help. Today he had to be moved to a veterinary clinic and will stay there until Sunday. He now has a catheter and needs monitoring, ultrasound and further treatment.

The cost for the clinic stay alone is around 2300 euro. With food changes, follow up exams and medication it will reach about 3000 euro.
