Modification What is this?
I work at a dealership and we got a 2016 Ford Taurus. Saw this thing underneath the steering wheel. Anyone knows what is it and what it does?

Hi! I'm Metaphys, and I guess I'm a mod now. IRL I tinker with stuff, fix restaurant equipment, and keep my aging Swedish brick with high sentimental value running even if it doesn't make the best financial sense. Sometimes I point a camera at stuff and yap.
I'm new to Reddit moderation, but not moderation in general. There's a learning curve for sure and some adjustments to make but for the most part this sub will function as before (but hopefully with less spam).
I'll try to be as hands off as possible otherwise. I'm nice unless given a compelling reason to not be nice, if you catch my drift. I do in fact have other duties besides scrolling Reddit all day, so if I don't respond quickly, I'm probably out touching grass...or would that be touching grease? Seriously, I've been in CV axle hell for the past day.
Alright that's it! Happy wrenching everyone!

I recently bought a 2005 MX-5 which came with this unfortunate steering wheel choice from a previous owner. I can’t seem to find any identification on the wheel itself, and it doesn’t seem like Mugen has ever manufactured anything like this, but it has “Mugen Power” branding all over it. I already ordered an OEM wheel to replace this thing. I am mostly just curious about where one may have gotten one of these back in the day. Thanks!

Hello 👋🏻! I have a 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTI that I would like to mod. I got it back in September bone stock from a used car dealer. I would like to modify it a bit with some light stuff for reliability at the moment. However I have a third party warranty and do not want to void it. What mods would I be able to do in this situation?

Hey Redditors I am from Pune India,
I am looking to upgrade the stock lighting setup on my Tata Nexon 2021 (Pre-facelift). The current halogen night visibility is terrible, especially during heavy rains and highway drives.
I am looking for a reliable market or area in Pune to get the following done: Headlights: High-performance LED bulbs Fog Lamps: Complete replacement.
What I am looking for: No Wire Cutting: The installation must use proper couplers and relays to keep the car electronics safe. Proper Brackets: Specific Nexon-compatible brackets for the fog lamps so they fit flush without rattling. Genuine Warranty: A marketplace where dealers actually honor the 1 to 2 year warranty on LEDs without hassles.
I know Nana Peth and PCMC have a lot of options, but the market is flooded with cheap duplicates and bad installers who mess up the beam alignment. Where did you get your car lighting done? Any specific market zones, streets, or hidden gems you swear by for clean workmanship and fair pricing?
Thanks in advance!

I got this steering wheel that came with an old project car that I got around 14-15 years ago. I didn't know what it was and just put it in storage all these years and I haven't bothered to do anything with it. I'm going through my old stuff now and found it. What exactly am I looking at?

I own a 2018 Hyundai Verna. For a while I've been looking to modify it and now more than ever.
I was thinking of body kits, RS Grill, lip spoiler, skirts and splitters.
Budget is not a problem.
Any suggestions of shops in Bengaluru where I can get all of these done? I've tried reaching out to a few shops without any response.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks all.

ADVICE
I'm wanting to put a type r wing on my black 10th gen 2018 Civic Sport Hatchback but trying to decide between these two brands (PROcivic and W2bodykits). The first one needs to be painted but the second one comes in gloss black. What would be the main difference between the two? Does anyone have any experience with either brand or have any pictures of what they look like in person?

Got pulled over yesterday and officer said my led drl strip is not DOT compliant which I did not even know was an inspection point always assumed daytime running lights were kind of a gray area since the car came with halogens in the same spot
Is there an actual federal standard for aftermarket DRLs or is it a state by state thing because strip I installed is just a white LED flex strip zip tied behind the grille and apparently that is not legal in some jurisdictions

I haveba 2000 mercury grand marquis. I saw a youtube video about a guy taking out his air box snorkel and replacing it with a plastic cup with the bottom cut off to increase air flow. Anyone know if this is legit, or dangerous to my engine in any way? It claims to increase throttle response tjme, something I wouldn't mind at all in my old beater. Thanks

I want to get my bmw 320i remapped by Celtic tuning, its 181bhp i can get a stage 2 at 241bhp or a stage 3 at 280bhp. I’m unsure wether the stage 3 would be safe for the car or if I should just have the stage 2

It’s for the wrong truck I knew that going in to it but I got the drawers and the toolbox for 100 bucks so worth it in my book
I’m wanting to trim it down to fit my thoughts were make a cardboard template of my bed and trace it on to the top plate of the drawers
Cut it off with a grinder
Does anyone else have any other ideas or suggestions

I use this truck as my daily, but I’d like it to be a tiny bit faster. The 2.2 kind of sucks. And I don’t have the funds for a swap. So I’ve been looking into some things I can do to make it a little funner, but still have the reliability and efficiency. I want to get new injectors for it, but I don’t know what are good performance injectors? What are some good mods I could do on it to get a little more horsepower out of that engine, or suspension things to make the handling funner. Just looking for ideas. Also, is it a good idea? If I save it for ITB’s I love how they sound and look but is it good idea for the 2.2

I wanted to install this TRD PTR11-52071 rear sway bar on my Yaris but the deal is that my Yaris is 2016 model but the areas where it bolts and sits inside the rear rear axle look identical. This is the closest thing that I found that might fit. I haven't ordered it yet
