Basically what the title says. Looking for part time work ideally in the early mornings. Entry level positions. Low stress would be nice but I realize that's not always possible. Don't know if any optometry assistant positions are open, or things of that nature. I left the restaurant industry several years ago but I know that First Watch has early shifts. Just looking for ideas as I plan to phase out of the work I'm in.
I just found out my cousin who lives (lived) in Cape Coral just passed away due to a heart attack. I am planning to fly down (from Seattle) for the presumed funeral. Her house was not too far from the Camelot Isles shopping center. What would be a convenient place to stay in the area? I presume the family will be gathering at the house. The Westin looks convenient, but I am afraid it might be beyond my budget.
This stupid Kia dealership. They called me while my car was being serviced and I was eating at Burger King. They made it sound urgent and said they would come get me in the golf cart. I rush to eat my food so I could get back here thinking something major happened to my car—
So they could try to sell me a new car.
Your days are numbered Kia of Cape Coral. I am SO glad I did not buy my car from you. I will never buy a car from you. AND you’ve lost my service business.
Also, if anyone has trustworthy shops that I can use in CC, NFM, or FM, drop them in the comments.
Just need to vent because we’re honestly at our limit. My boyfriend and I live two houses down from a property that has had squatters living there for about a year now. Recently they got a new generator and it is ridiculously loud, like 10x louder than the one they had before.
They run it constantly, day and night, and it has made sitting outside or enjoying our own yard miserable. Our neighbors are so frustrated they’re talking about moving, and honestly we can’t blame them.
We’ve filed complaints, but it feels like nothing is being done. I don’t understand how a neighborhood is just expected to deal with this nonstop noise 24/7.
Has anyone dealt with something like this in Cape Coral?
We were currently looking to move to cape coral, and after alot of research have decided to lean towards the Punta Gorda/port Charlotte area. We will be comming down in january to look at houses and would love some information on the neihborhoods, vibes, pros and cons!🤔 Tyia
I'm hoping to find a church that teaches God's Word faithfully with a more conservative/traditional approach, has a welcoming community for single Christian adults (or a strong singles ministry), and places the emphasis on biblical teaching rather than a production-style worship experience.
If you've found a church like that in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area, I'd love to hear your recommendations. Thanks! DMs are open if you wish to respond privately.
The Viles & Beckman Foundation is hosting a Back-to-School Giveaway this Saturday, and Cape families are absolutely welcome — just a quick hop over the bridge into Fort Myers.
Gas prices too high? Groceries eating the whole budget? We know, and we want to help. We've got over 500 backpacks loaded with school supplies, free while supplies last, to help get the kids equipped and ready for the new year.
And it's more than a grab-and-go — we're making a morning of it:
❄️ Snow cones
🌭 Hot dogs
🎨 Face paint
🏈 Outdoor games
When: Saturday, July 18th · 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Where: 6350 Presidential Ct, Fort Myers, FL 33919 (right over the bridge from the Cape)
Backpacks are first-come, first-served while supplies last, so it's worth heading out early. Would love to see you and the kids there!
We are going to be in CC in August for 10 nights (SE area) - what are your best recommendations for things to do / places to go. We want to do a boat trip (if anyone has any company recommendations) but then open to all other recommendations within probably a max of 1.5hr drive of that vicinity. We will be 2 adults, 19yo, 18yo and 15yo. Restaurant recommendations also appreciated especially something nice for one evening for the 18yo birthday.
Oh also what about fishing - aside from getting a fishing trip, what is the deal with fishing - assume we are ok fishing off the dock, can we (19yo) fish anywhere else or will he run in to trouble with anyone / anywhere off limits?
I understand my dental insurance may not take all reccomendations, but I am reaching out to you all in hopes one may. I recently received a quote for a tooth extraction and with insurance applied it’s 588 dollars and it’s not even a molar tooth. I would like to try to get another quote somewhere else. Thanks in advance!
does anybody know where i can rent a warehouse or a large empty space for a day? ive looked on peerspace, airbnb, gigster, etc
its for an event in February and my budget is a bit low.
Hey everyone, I know this is a long shot, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask.
I own a small wildlife removal business in Southwest Florida called Evict-A-Beast. We remove invasive species like cane toads, Cuban tree frogs, and iguanas. The business has been growing, but our work vehicle unexpectedly became unavailable, and we’re trying to get back on the road as quickly as possible.
I’m looking for someone who might be willing to rent out a reliable SUV, crossover, or small truck for a month or two while we get everything sorted out. I can put $300–$500 down, comfortably pay around $500/month, and I’m happy to sign a written agreement, provide references, proof of income, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable.
If renting isn’t something you’d consider but you know someone who has an extra vehicle sitting around, I’d really appreciate a referral.
I’m not looking for a free vehicle or a handout, just trying to find a way to keep my business running while we get through a rough patch.
Thanks for reading.
I’m visiting Cape Coral in a couple of weeks, and just wondering if there’s anywhere nearby that has a good selection of tinned fish. Obviously plenty of fresh seafood around, places like lobster lady etc. but would be keen to try some tinned fish if there’s any available.
