From my son’s 4th birthday: I was trying to say if there is room on the cake, put his name Seth. They took it very literally.

Fiancé and I live near a great local ice cream shop, and they also do ice cream cakes/pies. So, when ordering fiancé's cake online last week, I thought it was weird that they didn't have a space for what you want written on top. Usually, that's the FIRST question on the order form, but whatever, maybe they don't DO writing on the cakes, that's fine.
At the very bottom, they had a box that said, "Please let our team know any special things you may need from us (plates and utensils, extra nuts in the gooey layer, no onions, etc)." And I laughed out loud, because WHY would an ice cream place even HAVE onions, you know? Doubly funny because fiancé LOATHES onions, so I typed into that box "No onions?! Lol =D"
Didn't even notice the top of the cake at pickup this morning, because I wasn't expecting ANY message on it at all. Oh well, at least fiancé knew for sure there were no onions in his ice cream cake...or WERE there??? I told him what had happened, because it definitely looked suspiciously suspicious!

Yes, I found it on the shelf like this.
Yes, I did buy it solely because this little weirdo was made to exist on it.

Historically, every human society, every archaeological record of lost civilizations, every culture of humanity has had two things in common:
1. Some kind of sharp pointy object with which to hurt someone else (ie, some kind of sword analogue)
2. Fried dough in one form or another as a tasty treat
Today I decided to try to fry some snickerdoodle cookies as an homage to human history.
My ancestors are laughing at me. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Am I crazy? or is this the most insane cookie design for a baby shower? Not to mention a Jewish baby shower…
Like.. no one had any historical reference.. at all? Is it just me?

We ended up getting a full refund after the wedding, plus a $50 Publix gift card, so thanks, Publix!
Still tasted good.
Edit- I’m being financially shamed in the comments for some reason for spending $250 on a cake at Publix. Spending more on a cake that tastes the same would be financially unwise. There’s nothing wrong with buying a cake from Publix! I laughed when I saw it at the reception.

First cake was last year's.
This year she wanted attached Godzilla pic on top with rainbow edges again.
Last pic is what we got. I left it there and said no thanks.
They made the first cake picture last year btw. Also, they never called to tell me they lost the picture I gave them to do the sugar print out on this year's cake and said that the girl left last year that could do the rainbow edges, so they made me think they could this year. The guy that was there when I picked this up said he didn't have time to call me. I put my order in over a month ahead of pick up date, but they don't write down order dates either. He gave me the vibe he could care less and kept making excuses. I just wanted a phone call to let me know ahead of time so I could've gone somewhere else.
