first off, Thank you all so far for your involvement with our pro league series, without you all our editing style would not have changed so thanks for that! secondly I know I cannot prove I am an employee but I will say this, I am an Usher/Parking lot Attendant at the arena, It's been a dream come true to work at the arena itself and talk to the builders and engineers. Third of all, take this from someone working during the fights, They. Will. Get. Better. I know a lot of you were hoping for top notch Battlebots when we got back after 4 years but the engineers and drivers do have some kinks to work out as we go on. Let's say Rotator beat Endgame in the round of 16 of WCV. If they beat Endgame, how far can they go? Can they win it all? Because they'd fight Tantrum, and if they beat Tantrum they'd fight Whiplash.

And since this is WCV during Covid, it's a shame that some teams couldn't compete, which makes the season less competitive overall, but it did create a path to new builders in the competition like Team Shreddit (man I missed them)

I have been starved for combat robotics, and have watching Robot Wars recently, and I noticed how few verts-and even spinners in general are present in the competition, and I‘m wondering what they’re doing differently across the pond.

I just thought it would be hilarious to be honest. The plan would be for the middle to spin the 2 wedges fast enough to launch it towards the ceiling. Obviously it would need to be low enough to scrap the floor to get underneath the robots.

Hi! this is my first time trying to create a battle bots club in my uni, and I really need help 😅 I need ideas, and want to start it off “simply”, creating one beginner tier, in which we provide a few basic schematics and designs which they can modify, and one higher level tier in which groups can do as they wish.

are there any open models and schematics we could use for beginners? also, are there “internacional standards it’s recommended we abide by? thank you all for your help :)

Personally, I'd like to see Blip and Quantum again, even if only for exhibitions. It was nice having non-spinners that can genuinely beat verts. There's a small chance that Claw Viper and Hydra may return, so i won't count them for my answer.

Hi all! I was going through my Robot Wars toy collection (as you do) and found these little BattleBots guys. It's not surprising that they ended up in my collection as I have a lot of the Hexbug bots and some fighting toys from the CC era.

I don't immediately recognise these two, or what they were for, so any help would be appreciated!

why have damn near all of the robots we’ve seen in every episode of pro league have some sort of weapon/drive failures? I miss seeing fights where both robots could give it their all and go back and forth with eachother. now most fights have become either one sided ass whoopings(which isn’t bad if your weapon actually works and you can defend yourself) or fights where BOTH weapons don’t even spin up and crap the bed before any major hits and becomes a shoving match.
