AMS2: Media 1 hour of Road Atlanta with these was a wild ride.
Also, getting the hang of the photomode slowly. Straight from the game.

Just being able to see lightning strikes while driving is incredibly cool. Also, at least with this LMP2 Gen 2 it's not too bad to drive even in the extreme wet of the storms when I jack up the downforce and traction control. I'd be in every wall ever without TC for sure though.

I don’t know why I have this foggy line in simulator and don’t know how get rid of it. Ui and loading image don’t contain this. Can anyone help with it. Tried deleting graphic settings in documents/automobilista2 folder, no luck.

This is a small ask but I’ve set up a timed, not lap based, championship and set it to require a mandatory pit stop. I serve the pit stop but still get DQ’d for not serving a pit stop. This is a known bug for timed races but works as it should for lap based races.
Any chance that bug is getting fixed in an upcoming update? 😅.
Tis all. Other than that I’m absolutely loving AMS2.
Oh and Mustang GT3 please!!!!🙏

I am king in Stock Car Brazi and Porsche Cup. I do okay in GT4. But I am poor in GT3. Same AI difficulty and assistance level. Does the class matter so much in difficulty? Or what is the explanation.

Hi, my name is Josh. I've been a software developer for ten years, and I'm here to show you something that's honestly not new at all: a career mode for Automobilista 2. I know it's been done before, but I felt it could be improved. There are already great projects doing this. I've played them, they're genuinely good, but they all require the same thing: human intervention. As a sim racing fan who plays in a cockpit, the friction of configuring every race by hand and constantly jumping between screens really bothered me. So I set out to build a career mode that's fully automatic, needs no babysitting, and feels like a mode that's actually built into the game. I ran into plenty of limitations and had quite a fight along the way, because it's hard to build on top of a system that doesn't give you the tools, but I think the result is pretty good and pretty complete.
I'm not just a developer, I'm a sim racing nerd, and one thing that's really hard to find these days is a game with real career progression AND realistic physics. So I armed myself with patience and tried to design something close to what the life of a motorsport amateur would actually look like, all the way up to the top classes and the pinnacle category. Building on Automobilista made things hard, but it also has one huge virtue: the sheer number of grids you can put together is incredible. I've tried to create championships for almost every category and era, with their real drivers and teams, real skins support (with easy installation), and a progression system that lets you climb through a world that grows with you. This isn't the usual "living world" marketing line: you're part of a generation of prospects growing through the world season after season. Drivers retire, rookies debut, and a reputation and contract system makes your career truly yours, forcing real decisions. There's also a sponsor system that, well, adds some spice.
Quick disclaimer about AI: in a world where vibe coding and AI slop are everywhere, I've kept its use to a minimum. But I want to be upfront: some parts did require AI help, mostly the systematic debugging and reverse engineering needed to operate on top of the game and some UI design. One more thing: my native language is Spanish, so I also used AI to help me translate this post.
Here are the main features:

All of this is single-player, running on your own copy of AMS2, without touching a single game file.
There's still a lot to polish and a lot to improve, but I want to do that together with the community, and maybe between all of us we can build what a certain developer still hasn't.
Edit: This is a very early release, so please, any bugs or improvements you've got, I'd be happy to hear them! You can message me or head straight to the Discord! Thanks so much everyone!
Edit2: To set up the race the app uses a DLL to operate on the game, so it’s likely that some antivirus software will trigger a false positive. I’m trying to sort it out, but it’s something a few users are currently reporting

Does anyone else think the Maserati Trofeo cars are secretly the best part of the latest DLC? I can’t get enough of them! I’ve had great races with them, both online and offline. They are especially fun to drive with this skin pack, which not only adds rad fictional liveries but also some drivers you might recognize 😉
Is anyone else a big fan of these cars?

Okay honestly I just wanted somebody else to see my overtake. Included my cockpit view and the chase view.

since we are getting DTM 2005 season cars I would love if they also added class 1 cars from 2013-2020, those cars are the closest we get to Japan GT500 although still slower even with shared regulatios

Are there any critical changes that I should be making to time trial setups before I use them for races?

Does anyone else struggle with the C5.R's grip, or is it just me? I feel like it has noticeably less mid-corner grip and moves around a lot more compared to other GT1 cars. I know GT1 cars are supposed to be like that, but I felt much more comfortable driving the MC12, DBR9, Murciélago etc. I could also brake later with more confidence in those cars.
I've tried tweaking the setup, but I still can't get the car to feel planted. I'm starting to wonder if I'm simply missing something setup-wise, or if this is just the C5.R's character?
For those of you who race it regularly, do you have any tips on driving style or setup?

Wish we had the original layout with the different starting grid.
The 1988 layout in the game already has the original starting grid spots in the place they used to be.

It's a shame AI can't be more competitive in different cars/tracks/weather settings like that.

Ho fatto Qualche gara multiclasse, mi sembra P1, P2 e P3. Come mai?

Is there a difference on track between changing Traction Control with the keybind (High/Low/Off) on manually setting the TC (0 to 10)? When using the High or Low setting the dashboard still displays the default TC which leaves me confused as to what level it is actually at.
Even at the lowest levels TC seems to kick-in pretty early and at the lowest amount of pedal input. I am using haptic pedals through Simhub and am looking for the best possible feedback from the motors.

Like as in is there an app that lets you easily add and remove mods?
