SUBReddit RULES and HOW TO MAKE CHARTS SO YOUR POSTS DON'T GET REMOVED
MOST IMPORTANT
PLEASE USE ONLY THESE SITES:
Do not use these chart makers. All are either useless because they don’t provide the normal chart information, impossible to read, or are known to have errors.
- Astro-Charts.com
- Astro Future app
- Astrotheme.com
- Chani App
- Co-Star App
- CafeAstrology.com
- Time Passages app
- Or any chart-making site or app that does not put the degree numbers on the round chart, or that have a style that is hard to read.
Other sites or programs or apps may be ok, but only if houses are clearly displayed, and the full degree positions for each planet and angle are displayed on the round wheel chart. We still, however, ask that you use the two recommended sites above.
DO NOT POST LISTS OF PLACEMENTS, OR JUST GIVE A FEW PLACEMENTS IN YOUR POST. DO NOT ASK A QUESTION ABOUT ONE OF YOUR PLACEMENTS AND NOT INCLUDE YOUR CHART. DO NOT POST ONLY A CROPPED PORTION OF YOUR CHART.
Doing so will result in immediate removal. This is an astrology sub - we need to see the chart. Even if you think it doesn't matter, as you are only asking about one placement, or one aspect, we need the whole chart. There are levels of analysis that go into that "just one thing" that you may not be aware of. No planet or aspect or house operates in isolation in the chart.
HOUSE SYSTEMS
With the exception of Annual Profection or Horary posts, you are free to use whichever house system you prefer. (See these sections below.) The exception is if your birth location is one that Placidus distorts dramatically, then we may ask you to repost using the Whole Sign house system.
ANNUAL PROFECTION POSTS
Use only Whole Sign houses for Annual Profections
If you are posting about your Annual Profection, you must include your natal chart made in the Whole Sign house system (even if you use Placidus normally), since this is the house system required for the tool. If you post with a placidus chart, your post will be removed. Do not post with just the "profection guide" chart from astro-seek. That is only a tool to help you determine your profection. We need your actual full birth chart, in the Whole Sign house system.
On astro.com
Go to the Extended Chart Selection page (it is found under the Horoscopes tab, under the heading “Drawings, Calculations, Data”. Here’s a direct link to that page: Extended Chart Selection. Then in the house system drop down menu on that page, select “Whole Sign”.
When entering your birth data, scroll down a bit and you will see a small "Extended Settings" link (this is also shown just below your chart once it is displayed). Click on that, then in the House System drop down menu select the “Whole Sign” option. Don’t use the one that says “Whole Sign Asc Horizontal”, and don’t use any of the ones farther down that say “0 Aries”, etc.
HORARY POSTS
These are best if you use either Placidus or Regiomontanus house system.
TRANSIT POSTS & SECONDARY PROGRESSIONS
Transits are for posts asking "what is going on right now", or "what happened a month ago when everything blew up". You need to post your natal chart + transits as a biwheel for the appropriate date whether that's a month ago, a year ago or right now. You can set transits to any date in the past, present or future easily on both astro.com and astro-seek.com The biwheel puts your natal chart on the inside and transits around the outside.
Progressions are similar, but for a longer period of time, so if March-April 2020 was a disaster (Covid was ramping up, btw this is just for example) maybe include progressions.
Do not ask "what will the next year be like for me", unless you’re willing to pay an experienced astrologer commensurate (it’s a lot) for their time. This is a massive ask, and would take a great deal of time to answer.
…………………..
SOLAR RETURN POSTS
Solar Returns must be read alongside the natal chart. DO NOT post just your solar return chart alone. Make a natal + solar return biwheel. This puts your natal chart on the inside, and the solar return chart around the outside. It is helpful if you give your age as your Annual Profection's lord of the year should be considered in the solar return.
NOTES
Let us know if you have any questions about the content of this post. If you get stuck, or have trouble making your chart correctly, then you may use the "Message the Mods" button in the sidebar under Moderators. Don't message mods individually, just use "Message the Mods", as that goes to Modmail and we all see it.
Don't use this post to ask specific questions about your chart or life. Use it to help you figure out how to post correctly or make your chart correctly.
(Thanks to u/ZodiacDax for this concise Do’s & Don’ts, parts of which we shamelessly lifted.)
Okay, Rules of what we allow and mainly don’t.
Rules
1) No spam. You will be banned on sight. No solicitation of paid readings, requests for DM's, links in your posts to offsite pages like facebook or instagram. You may be warned for that or banned, depending on that Mod’s mood. So don’t risk it.
2) Be nice. Insults are unnecessary and will be removed. Bans may be handed out depending on rudeness.
3) POST YOUR CHART. This should go without saying. If you are asking for a reading, post a chart. Also, do not post charts of dogs, cats, water fountains, basketballs, or anything that isn't another human being. Refer to rule 2 about getting someone else's permission before posting their chart. We also advise that you take the time to slightly anonymize your chart at your discretion.
3a) When you post a chart or charts, please indicate whose they are (including yourself) Do NOT post someone else's chart (unless they are close family) without their permission. And please state explicitly that you have permission. Repeat offenders may be banned.
4) NO SYNASTRIES (Compatibility), NO DRACONIC, & NO COMPOSITES No MATRIX stuff, that’s bogus. (Only synastry exception being family members. That means it is established karma). Too many people have abused synastry in the sub, which is an open-ended reading at best.
5) No "Guess My Sign" selfies, RoastMe's, Will I Be Famous. No "Describe what I look like" narcissism. Go play elsewhere with that. There is a different subreddit for selfies.
6) Make a pertinent OP/Question (header post) We all want to know something more about ourselves. That's the point of this sub. And specify whose chart it is.
6b) Don’t 3rd person your own chart or it may be Removed.
Therefore, don't make a Pity-Party OP, obviously narcissistic me-me-me, or vapid instagram type post.
7) NO SIDEREAL OR VEDIC CHARTS, PLEASE. We do not have regular Vedic readers to justify it.
8) SHUT UP ABOUT CHIRON, Dark Lilith, etc. or Vertex. No Asteroid readings. Leave them out of your chart image. Charts with more than 3 asteroids will be Removed. Asteroids, including Chiron have never been considered as having astral influence until recently, when new age pretenders shoehorned them in, in lieu of actual interpretive knowledge. There is a ton of information available using the 10 acknowledged planets, Houses, and Signs for experienced readers without adding this Barnumesque rubbish which only detracts. We intend to remove as much Barnum/Forer effect generalization as possible in this sub.
9) No AI cookbook or vanilla Copypasta readings; don’t make your OP with “ChatGPT said”. Use your brain and astro-experience or DON"T post replies. ChatGPT is verboten garbage. Offenders are subject to ban.
10) DON'T ASK OPEN-ENDED MARRIAGE, JOB, PARTNER OR CHILDREN PREDICTIONS such as "will I ever, when will I", etc. These are very common questions in Vedic astrology, but this sub is not geared in that direction.
11) MISC: If you want to to tip or pay to have your chart read, use the "Donation" flair please. Post charts- not just questions. We have created a tipjar format for validated, experienced astrologers.
DO NOT DM Mods, readers or other individuals for a private reading. You can message Mods via the Sidebar with any questions; that's different and encouraged.

Reading [Astro-seek.com] Where might I find "support" in my chart, please?
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this!
I'm just starting to teach myself astrology, as well as looking into a full paid reading one day, but for now I am hoping to learn where I might find "support" in my chart.
To put things simply I don't have much support from family, or friends, and I've been in therapy for a decade trying to heal from a few things from my childhood. I'm not sure if "support" is even something a chart would show?
Either way, any insight that can be provided on my chart would be greatly appreciated!

Reading Am I fucked with 3 T-Squares in my natal chart? [astro.com]
i’ve been getting deeper and deeper into astrology and I’ve recently discovered that i have 3 T-Squares in my natal chart. Interestingly enough, my chart ruler mercury is the Apex planet for 2/3 T squares. And Uranus, the Apex of the last T square, is the most dominant planets I have in my chart. My mars is one of the opposing planets for all of them, (jupiter and saturn are the others). i think it’s interesting that my mars is domicile in its ruler’s house, and my saturn is in the 12th, where it rejoices. I can’t tell if i’m fucked or if i’m set up to overcome these struggles. I want to overcome this struggle of mine, provide some relief between the tug-of-war in my 12H and 6H, I feel like because the Apex planet is in the ninth house, which has my chart ruler Mercury, and because the empty house, which is my 3H and Leo that rules over my sun also sitting in the 9H, that I will find relief in higher education travel or i’m not too sure.. i’m not good at translating how to use or activate certain houses or planets I have. I think, though there may be significance in the fact that my 3H and 9H seem to be my saving grace, and outside of very irresponsible traveling, i don’t really do anything to activate or fulfill those areas of my life.
Any advice at all is appreciated, no filter needed!

Reading Paradoxical libra stellium with trouble forming meaningful connections alongside a nonexistent love life. [astro-seek.com]
I humbly ask if there is anything inherently wrong/unhealed within me that perpetuates my condition. The only libran values I resonate with are attention to details, aesthetics and the finer things in life. Could perfectionism, or better worded, a strive for doing things a certain correct and proper way hinder this?
As the chart entails, most friendships (if not all) have been founded at work / classrooms.
Cordially.

Reading [astro-seek.com] Not sure exactly what path to take in life. Feeling out of place.
Often feel like I am out of place in life. I finished two undergraduate degrees but I don't feel like I'm quite "myself." I feel like I'm doing partly what I should, but not quite hitting the nail on the head. I can't really explain the feeling well, but I feel like I have been doing the wrong things in the wrong place around possibly the wrong people (and I'm often isolated). I feel like I have studied the wrong things: psychology, linguistics, teaching English as a second language. I can't understand what's going on in particular or what I should be doing otherwise. While things are going well, I just feel like what I'm doing is wrong and what I should do otherwise has been unclear. Which types of careers, places, and situations would I thrive in? Where does my best potential lie in life? I hope I will find clarity soon.

Reading [Astro-seek.com] Question about my chart
I’m mainly curious about two things in my chart:
Love/relationships — I meet and talk to a lot of people, and I don’t really struggle with attracting potential partners, but relationships never seem to fully develop or work out. Is there anything in my chart that could explain this pattern or something I should be aware of?
I’ve had this feeling recently that something big or positive is coming. Is there anything in my chart that could point to major changes, opportunities, or a new chapter?

Reading [astro.com] how does my Saturn in the fifth house affect my creative/relationships in a non traditional way, specifically pertaining to my career?
All I see myself doing in life is either performing or writing, maybe becoming a psychologist, but I want to know if it could bring me success or if I’m not made for it. I know my chart reads as very dull and shy but I love being on stage. I used to be a very serious and shy child, but I’ve come out a lot since I was 16 and have become very assertive, confident, and outspoken, which I find weird since Saturn’s effects usually subside by a person’s thirties. Although, I do think my Saturn makes me overthink my creative work, so i take even personal poems seriously, I’m a perfectionist. I’m also confused about my Saturn placement because I’ve never had trouble in relationships, I’ve always had people naturally gravitate towards me, but I would self-sabotage and push people away on my own volition, or I simply didn’t want their love, so much so that my relationship to relationships is completely disillusioned. I don’t have that fairy-tale dream of finding The One™ and being carried away into the sunset, I really don’t want anything serious. But I’ve heard that for people with Saturn in the 5th house, it’s the opposite; they struggle to have fun and find love. Are there any other aspects that impact this?

Reading 23 years old, achieved almost every milestone I set for myself… so why do I feel like I’m on the wrong path?[astro-seek.com]
Hi everyone.
I’m 23 and over the past few years I’ve accomplished almost everything I thought I wanted.
I graduated from university with a First Class degree, landed a software engineering job in central London and am planning to move there soon. From an objective pov, I should feel a sense of fulfilment. Instead over the past few months I’ve begun feeling strangely disconnected from the path I’m on.
I’m excited to grow and upskill in this field over time. At the same time I’ve always had this feeling that it’s temporary, that it’s only a matter of time before I find myself in a completely different setting.
The moments where I feel most alive are when I’m helping people. I’m deeply spiritual and have always been fascinated by psychology, psychiatry, philosophy, the occult and esoteric which has helped me develop a profound sense of discernment. I believe I’ve genuinely helped many of my friends, some decades older than me, with relationships, identity, purpose and difficult periods in their lives. Seeing even one person’s energy shift after a conversation gives me an incredible sense of fulfilment and hope for the world.
Because of that, I keep feeling drawn toward more creative and human-centred work like creative writing, songwriting, poetry etc.
You could say it’s just energy balancing itself out. By helping others solve their problems I may be avoiding dealing with my own.
There’s also something that isn’t quite right with how deeply Im afraid of feeling my emotions. I seem to avoid experiences that might stir something deep within me. Over time, it’s become an unconscious effort to limit things like films, music, intimate conversations and even self-reflection because they can make me feel too much.
The irony is that I think the answers I’m looking for probably exist within those feelings. I suspect that if I allowed myself to fully experience the parts of myself I’ve been avoiding I’d gain much more clarity about who I am and what I’m actually meant to do. But right now I feel like I’m searching from the outside because I struggle to access those answers from within.
From an astrological pov, do my natal chart or current transits suggest a major shift in purpose, career, or identity? Do they reflect this tension between the life I’ve built and the one I feel drawn toward? Or perhaps this growing sense of heaviness is pointing toward a spiritual breakthrough or an important period of transformation?
I’d really appreciate any insights or perspectives you might have.
Thank you for taking the time to read.

Reading [astro-seek.com] Fonding a new career
(34F) I have been in my career for almost a decade and a half now. While I enjoy it, it is somehow causing my a lot of anxiety. It enjoy it because what I do helps people (research and healthcare) but I miss being creative ( I wanted to be an artist when I was younger) and the flexibility in my schedule. There are other challenges such as constant burnout, weird health energy struggles when I work vs when I’m off work, difficulty to feel at home in my career. Idk why it suddenly started about 3 years ago while I was so motivated and dedicated to my career before that!
I’m currently considering other career paths and have been feeling quite lost with that as well. I want something that contributes to the world and helps people but also is a career and mentally stimulating and pays well enough and allows me to engage in the arts. I guess that’s why I’m exploring astrology. I’d appreciate your insights on my chart with regards to Career. Having some leads to follow instead of feeling lost and confused would be nice. Any other insights helping me get better at reading my chart is also appreciated 😊 thank you!

Reading Is there anything in my chart that reads I have to work hard to earn support? [astro-seek.com]
For context: I am part of a small adult entertainment community in my hometown, it seems people have issues with my "coldness" and when I try to be lovey dovey, I am met with annoyance. Other women are loved in that community, nice things are said shared about them but when it comes to me, it always seems I lack short of something, it's like I have to try harder, I have to do more and it's tearing me down. I hope this post doesn't get the wrong idea but things have been weighing me down. I haven't been getting any much love in my personal affairs hence why I seek outside but it feels just the same, if not heavier.

Reading I’m an underground artist who’s trying to escape my toxic family and I’d like some astrological advice pertaining to my career [astro-seek.com]
I’d like to know what the stars say about my potential. I’m quite dedicated to the arts and I currently have a small fan base but I come from a very enmeshed family with a history of physical abuse and very poor boundaries and as a result, it’s been hard to let go of my people-pleasing habits and self-esteem issues (which, as you can imagine, is starting to affect my career a little bit). It’s been making me feel disconnected from myself but I’d love to see what the future holds and what perspective astrology could give me on this situation. What are my gifts? What should I be empowered by?

Reading Libra moon+ascendant at 23•, libra nn. [astro-seek.com]
I like looking at whole sign and placidus so I included both. I have a hard time assessing my libra placements as a whole picture and how they relate to one another. Is this just a “heart on sleeve” alignment?
I’ve been watching someone on yt that lectures on shadow work and inner cosmology, and she talks about the sun being the “true essence” which is filtered through the moon (often distorted), and the ascendant is where that light is ultimately reflected into the world and gives a visible shape to the unconscious.
Without going more into her framework, I find it tricky to plug my libra placements into this equation, especially when my north node is there. Any assessments of these placements and how they relate to the chart as a whole would be appreciated.
