I recently visited this basilica and I just found it stunning. Isn’t this a underrated gem?

it’s paradise for people who love beautiful architecture. Our tour guide told us that every facade is strictly protected and preserved. Our hotel was made out of four private mansions dating back to the 17th Century.

Cologne Cathedral is a Gothic masterpiece located in Cologne, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. Famous for its towering twin spires and intricate architecture, it is one of Germany's most iconic landmarks and looks especially stunning when illuminated at night.

In Finland, a total number of 104 fieldstone churches were built between the 13th and 16th century, of which 83 have been preserved. Numbers include the sacristies of uncompleted churches as well as three churches in Vyborg which is now part of Russia.
The pictures show some of the Finnish churches built during that period.

I grew up in the Maritimes of Canada and most of my favourite memories are of the colourful old homes near bodies of water across all four provinces. I'm no architect, and I'm aware these are mostly just brightly colored Victorian homes, but I always wondered what a modern take would look like if we were intent on carrying a unique architectural identity into the modern day. I know these ones won't last forever.
I haven't owned or lived in a house like these as an adult, but I've always went for these types of colours on my houses.
