Misc Akame Ga Kill FAQ
Are their other mangas/animes from the AGK franchise except the main show?
The only other animated content except for the 24-episode main series is the Akame ga Kill Theater show, a 90 second long parody/comedy related to the respective anime episode.
Apart from this, you can read the 3 manga series (in ideal reading order):
-Akame ga Kill (78 + bonus chapters, complete): The original source from which the anime was adapted. As the anime was aired while the manga was still going on, it features a slightly different ending, an omitted arc as well as more detail overall.
-Akame ga Kill Zero (60 chapters, complete): The prequel, telling the story of Akame and Kurome working for the Empire.
-Hinowa ga Crush (53 chapters, cancelled): The sequel, tells the story of a war in the "Eastern Country" resembling medival Japan, from the perspective of a girl named Hinowa with Akame being her companion.
Both the prequel and sequel are based upon the main AGK manga, however, mentions of manga-only story-bits are rare and having only watched the anime provides a sufficient base. In general, cross-series references are scarce and not necessary to follow or understand the story.
*Should* I read the manga even though I already watched the anime?
If you enjoyed the anime, reading the manga is pretty much considered the goldstandard. The anime skipped a number of details up to chapter 39/episode 18, from where the anime went into original territory. The ending isn't rushed and characters that received little screentime such as Run, Wave and Kurome receive much more attention, along with a number of characters surviving that died in the anime.
In case you aren't sure whether to read the prequel and the sequel you can use Google for recessions of AGK Zero and HGC (or the search function on this subreddit).
Where can I find more information about AGK?
The first and foremost address is the Akame Ga Kill Wiki. Often you'll find an awnser there much quicker than posting here about it.
Alternatively, you can read the TV Tropes page, the Wikipedia page or simply Google.
What are the chances for a 2nd Anime season?
Virtually nonexistent. The main story got more or less completely adapted and despite the flawed ending and certain omitted parts there is no signifcant unadapted material. While having reached a certain amount of popularity while it was running, AGK Zero did never got close to the fame of the original story and has declined since its last chapter was released in 2017, whereas HGC is unpopular to the point even long-standing fans of the franchise are unaware of its existence.
...but what about a Fullmetal Alchemist-style reboot?
The first anime adaption of FMA decided to go into original territory at an early point and changed the story significantly, not only the last few episodes. An OVA faithfully adapting the manga-ending is also not going to happen either. Producing a standard 25 min episode costs roughly 100.000 $, and with the nummerous minor changes towards the end, basically everything from Episode 19 onwards would have to be remade from scratch, and no profit-orientated company would invest that amount of money for the sake of a couple characters not dying.
...and what about Netflix?
While AGK is somewhat popular on Netflix and the company has invested into original anime content, an adaption of AGK Zero or HGC almost certainly not going to happen as both lack the popularity of the main series. Further speculating about some Netflix official deciding otherwise is pointless.
Is there any chance for other AGK-related media?
Since AGK Zero ended in 2017, the sole source of new content was the sequel/spin-off Hinowa Ga Crush, a manga which released 53 chapters. While having occasional references to the AGK manga and AGK Zero, neither of them are required to follow the story which focused on a young girl named Hinowa; with Akames appearence as a side-character being the only connection to the main series. Overall the series isn't well known and was cancelled in August 2022 due to lack of sales.
The writer of AGK, Takahiro, has moved on to "Mato Seihei no Slave"/"Slave of the Magic Capital's Elite Troops", which has been highly succesful and received an anime adaption; as well as a new Isekai Harem story ("Gokusotsu Kraken"), which are not connected to AGK in any sort, making HGC most likely the last part of the AGK franchise.

HGC Manga What could have been: Akame, Najasho and Poney
Now, this is a mix of a rant and the scenarios/hopes I had for these last three members of the elite seven, so if it is to long for you, I don't mind if you skip it:
Akame meeting Najasho and Poney in the Land of Wakoku is probably the thing that kept most of the reader of the series. Since, despite the attempts of making Hinowa and her comrades as well as Zou and the Ten Stars the new main characters, let's face it: Our "original" characters are the one who took the spotlight. And rightfully so:
Chronlogically speaking, they were not only the first characters of the entire story (when we see "Zero" as the chronological start of everything) but Najasho and Poney were, alongside with the rest of the Elite Seven, a real familiy to Akame (besides of course Kurome, but from whom Akame was seperated for many years in such a young age.) So it's only natural, that Akame had and still has strong emotional ties to them, as can be seen when she sees that Poney is alive.
Now, the situation for all three of them is difficult, complicated, but not impossible to overcome: Restoring Najashos Memories of when he was the "Chief". That Akame finds her former "Chief" on the enemys side was a great start and that Poney is besides him, taking care of him(?) makes this even better (since it doesn't make the situation even more comeplex, that she is somewhere else and must be found as well)
However. Since the series got axed, we never got to see Najasho regaining his memories. And to some extend you could say, this is good. Because, in good old Akame ga kill Style, how would Takahiro most likely have done it? Precisely, by killing either Akame or Poney, Najasho witnissing it and then remembering. So, if it had go down like that, this "open end" is of course much better.
Still, it was my main drive to read the series to see the reunion of those three and Najasho regaining his memories and the three of them living happily together. Where exactly is a different question, either in a united country under Hinowas Rule or returning back to the new country and living in the countryside, maybe near Tatsumi and Mine.
BUT NO, all of that was taken from us. Sure, if Akame or Poney, though I think Poney dying, maybe even killed by one of the Ten Stars an then najasho regaining his memories was more probably than killing Akame, THE FACE of the series, would have been killed, I and probably a good amount of the readers would have been at the very least upset ( I would have punched the air) but still. Despite this, I would have loved to see "progress" in the life of these three, in one way or another.
And the "open end" and unclear fate of Akame, Najasho and Poney is especially frustrating for me, since I am a big Najasho Fan and wanted SO MUCH to see he huging Akame and Poney after regaining his memories, MAAAAN *_*
So yeah, that's it for my little rant.

This is a very simple art that i did for fun, and i was surprised with the result.

Question Which of these two can use his ice powers better?

Art Three more redesings.
This one ended up way better than i expected.
Bulat it's one of the hardest characters to get right, mainly for that monstrous hair of his, but it ended up pretty well.
I really liked Kurome's hair in this drawing, but heir face is too compressed. I tried to give her that creepy girl look.
Mine is my favorite, her hair is very fun to draw, and i give her orange eyes to have a cool contrast with all the pink.
Give your feedback, say what you like, what you dislike, and what you would change.

Question How come Esdeath doesn't get hate for being a pedo like Mei Mei does?
Both terrible people who go after underage characters but esdeath isn't anywhere near as hated as mei mei in that regard. She gets hate for killing sure but not this.

AGK Anime I don't know about you, but every time I see this frame it cracks me up, that bald guy looks so out of place 😄
Y para los fans que hablan español... no se ustedes, pero en mi opinion, Akame ga kill necesita un redoblaje urgentemente, me da muchas vibras del primer doblaje de The boys cuando lo escucho

Discussion My thoughts on Tatsumi trying to change esdeath (read body text below)
I think Tatsumi could have changed Esdeath or atleast made her less evil by using logic and not just saying "kill = bad" which is pretty much all he was saying. I would tell Esdeath that I believe the strong should handle government and military and all the big picture stuff and the weak should take lower jobs, and then I would say evil people deserve to be tortured and erased, like p3dos, r@pists, serial killers and more. I would turn her into a weapon to purge evil and I would convince her the empires government was weak, I wouldn't try to make her defect like tatsumi did, I would try to make esdeath see darwinism differently and turn her against the evil and convince her the evil are weak. What do you think?

Question Any good AGK fanfictions?
I have not been able to find any good AGK fanfics that meet my criteria. Granted I am not much of a fanfic person, and so do not know how to look for them effectively.
I am looking for a fanfic that involves isekai and does not have a LGBTQ MC.
