I truly hate this new word "spends" or "spend" as it's being used in Corporate-Speak these days. This credit union commercial promises to help you "with everyday spends." Why not just say "spending?" This is such a weird corporate-speak thing to adopt.

It's been whispered that he's dealing with a wrist issue, but I don't think the team has formally confirmed that.
I'm sure the Mariners will tell us when they're ready. Or JP gets put on the IL. Or JP magically returns to the lineup without a peep and we're supposed to assume he's OK.
But seriously, as much as we want answers, we're not entitled to a player's private information, including medical or personal reasons he might have to miss a few games. Sometimes formal roster moves are the only clues we get.
