Chris Martin is nearing a return! I can’t wait for him to give up two home runs, grab his shoulder and grimace, and go back on IL for a month.

What? Is he really? Nooo!

Im not very hopeful that our pitching tonight wont give up quite a few runs, let's hope our bats can at least keep up

Is it gonna be a bull pen day as wasn’t Cal originally slated to pitch?

I think they're doing the starter thing, so Alexander will pitch first inning then Quantrill will take it from there

Why does cal need an opener ?

They probably want to break up the lefty heavy lineup a bit

Can we continue this discussion on the BZZR app? They have had some really good reporting today I’d like to discuss

Just gonna go ahead and apologize now. I will be in attendance. Guaranteed loss.

I'm also going, definitely losing today. I thought Quantrill was starting today. I don't want a bullpen game

Me too. I was happy to watch the game yesterday but I just know they used up all there hits and runs for today.

Keep the bats going, fellas.

They’ve actually been the bright spot since the break, now the pitching has me nervous. Bizarro Rangers

Oh for sure. It'll be interesting to see what we do at the deadline.

Might be a hot take, but I'm lowkey team sell.

I’m for trading David Murphy for a young prospect announcing games in A Ball somewhere.

I’m still team do nothing. They aren’t one or two players away from winning the pennant and we’re adding a 2x WS MVP to the lineup at some point

I would not be mad at a soft sell. Astros just traded Pearson, who was DFA’d, for a pretty nice pitching prospect (22 y/o with a 1.7 ERA in 30 games). If we think a guy is gone after this year try and get what you can for him

I think we will add a pen guy or something. As great as Latz is itd be nice to get him a little help. Definitely dont want to make a major move.

We should trade for a shutdown opener.

Would also be nice if the pen guy has one more year of club control like Robert Garcia did (not saying he's the exemplar lol, just his club control), so we don't have to repeat this song & dance every season slowly draining the farm arm-by-arm.

Last year's acquisitions Merrill Kelly, Danny Coulombe, and Phil Maton all left. Sucks to lose both in the farm and in the big leagues. Would like ONE reliever to stick and keep dealing here next season. (One reliever not named Chris Martin obviously.)
