Yeah this will be a Minnie center MV, wont it? If you need sexy, Minnie will deliver.

I'm sooo excited! MV reminds me "i'm slave for you", and i like it!

This one looks much better. I am still getting the impression that we are getting the girls in some location/s with a bunch of dancers for the third time in a row this year, but at least it has been a consistent one. Don't know what to think of the song yet, but at this state that is actually the normal thing. Let's see if tomorrow we get nastier, stickier concept images (I lost all hope that they won't be diretly related to the mv, but I am prepared to be corrected).

Still excited to hear the song, though the MV might not be for me, and that's fine!

I find sexy on screen super awkward, whether it's tv, movies or mvs. Something about manufacturing something that's supposed to be about feelings? Or something like that? Wish I was fluent in english

Most people on screen are just super awkward at portraying sexy. I do really enjoy MV's where you can actually feel this "steaminess" but they are rare and especially in K-op because of the above.

Minnie is pretty good at it though, see her solo b-side MV's. She can melt the screen with a look, not a lot of people can do that. Also it was a lot more common in 2nd gen and it wasnt awkward if done right, like Abracadabra.

Might also be that generations born after Millenials are just more prudish.

There's definitely a resurgence in prudishness with younger people! That's not my age range though. I think it's more what you said at first, a lot of people just "feel" awkward doing it

I think there's also something of, plenty of people will find plenty of different things sexy, but the go-to is slow motion and languorous stares, so maybe it's the gap between the diversity of lived experiences versus the representations?

Sorry I know I'm steering away from an i-dle focused discussion, I just find the topic interesting!

I think it's the difference between actual sexual chemistry shown on screen and the made up "sexual chemistry" as you said, the longing stares and slow motion breathing.

It's especially hard to portray actual chemistry for K-pop idols because, well, they are only allowed the long stares and looking sexy. Which is why the actual nakedness and touching is done by the gay couple in this trailer.

I wonder what would happen if one or more members actually would participate in more "active" steaminess. I actually wish they would and cause a big scandal, i miss the overstepping idol boundaries I-dle.

I wonder what would happen if one or more members actually would participate in more "active" steaminess.

If it's Yuqi then her solo stans will explode. They're already livid that this comeback is "inappropriate" and will negatively impact her solo image.

I get what you mean! I look forward to and still plan on watching the MV, but I have to be in a very specific mood to enjoy sexy scenes. In the case of i-dle, I'm also thinking silly things like, "Um it's okay, you don't have to involve me as the viewer in this sexy concept... I just want you to be well and have fun with your music" lol

I get what youre saying and I can relate. I'll probably watch the MV at least once and if it's not for me I'll just listen to the song.

It's ok to find sex on screen akward, but that is just a personal thing, and it has nothing to do with manufacturing things. Sex is neither more nor less manufactured on screen than any other thing related to feelings, them included. On screen it is all manufactured. It is all pretend.

Yeah I did say it was personal! For me it's different than other types of emotions, because it's using the body to try to explain these feelings, which are interior? Again my english probably isn't good enough to explain what I mean well

Like, maybe the sexy in the music will work for me, because it's sounds and words and voices. But images of it feels "hollow" (frustration!! not the right word! but an approximation)

Don't worry. Maybe it will work with you maybe it won't. Give it a chance and if it doesn't work, well, no biggie. They can't all be winners. πŸ˜‰

PD: Your english is great, don't worry. I know sometimes it can feel like we are not expressing ourselves like we wish when its not out first language, but I honestly don't see a problem with your english. 😊
