Knight just casually dropping nuke scorelines every series at this point.

Knight needs a 25 stacks mejais stats

40

u/Nymaera_ LEC & LPL Caster | LJL Expert May 08 '26

In 2024 he had a 100% Mejai’s buy-rate on Ahri, he’s the most prolific Mejai’s stacker of all time

2

u/TheYango May 09 '26

Plus that's not even counting the numerous games where he just gets a casual Dark Seal that he never gets around to upgrading into Mejais.

People joke about Chovy buying Rocketbelt on everyone, when we could have been joking about Knight buying Dark Seal on everyone years ago.

12

u/WhiteKnightRedditor May 08 '26

By far the best player in the world

251

u/Large_Love_2563 May 08 '26

Knight is just the greatest LPL player of all time atp no?

44

u/LessCockroach7323 May 08 '26

left hand buff

18

u/ArmpitSniffa May 08 '26

It pains me to say as a hardcore Rookie fanboy but yes

32

u/DrPepperPower Knight 加油 | | May 08 '26

Since 24 he has been in contention.

In 25 he became number 1 imo.

Now it's just silly to consider others

37

u/TheKnightKinnng May 08 '26

Rookie still better. If Rookie had teammates as good as Knight’s, he would’ve already won multiple internationals. /s

7

u/Shortofbetternames May 08 '26

that comment was especially funny when tes rookie happened and... oh well, ppl found out

16

u/Fncrs May 08 '26

I don't really see how late career Rookie somehow retroactively proves he wasn't that guy. Trust me if you watched LPL in 2015, 2016, 2017 you'd have known how elo helled he was. Even post worlds win he was still insanely good year in year out and actually still contested or beat Knight individually often.

10

u/KarlKraftwagen May 08 '26

The crimes KidKid, zz1tai and to a lesser degree time committed against rookie were horrible. Baolan/Megan atleast redeemed himself later but especially KidKid has blood on his hands

4

u/afedje88 May 08 '26

I think he's pretty firmly in the best behind faker arguement right? Not saying he is or isn't but he's definitely got his case for it

-18

u/WinHopeful1216 May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

Yea not with 0 titles he isn’t. Not to mention him getting gapped by chovy at msi 2024 back to back.

He had an impressive career but he has some really glaring holes in his resume. We can let 2022 worlds go as a fluke but then last year happened so we can’t. Terrible performances in elimination game at worlds. If you look at the games his team gets eliminated in at worlds Knight plays awful. Starting with his last min tp to a fight to a flash ori ult the air against suning, to getting his tp cancled by Keria after throwing the fight and the series by flashing charming the air, and then getting gapped by quid and a complete no show vs tes last year.

13

u/IlluminatiConfirmed May 08 '26

I mean for what it's worth I think chovy and knight are 2 and 3 behind faker but you gotta acknowledge tournaments like msi 2023 and the recent first stand where chovy bombed out of the tournament before knight got the chance to play him.

Head to head records have a bunch of context behind them that I don't think people always consider

1

u/SeismicShove May 09 '26

Has been for a while

0

u/permawl May 09 '26

LPL existed before 2023.

5

u/mrmakefun May 09 '26

And Knight has been a monster since at least 2020.

-24

u/Alpha-_-Null May 08 '26

just needs a couple internationals then sure

Mid Season Cup 2020, MSI 2023 (MVP), First Stand 2026, he does have 3 with the caveat of MSC being online covid MSI replacement

69

u/longingwonder May 08 '26

most lpl titles, won on 3 different teams (was fmvp atleast once on each), msi champ+fmvp, fst champ

he's already been the greatest for a while now

-12

u/WinHopeful1216 May 08 '26

What about his greatest achievement of failing to reach knock out stages of worlds twice and as a lpl#1 seed last year getting gapped by quid.

2

u/Djeveler May 09 '26

Faker has failed to even qualify for worlds thrice and has lost plenty of BO1s against way weaker opponents. Are you genuinely this stupid or just pretending for some reason?

-3

u/WinHopeful1216 May 09 '26

Are you genuinely this stupid or just pretending for some reason?

That’s my line. i mentioned what Knight has done in the biggest tournament of league of legends and your response is “faker lost some random bo1 games”? Yea so has Knight and literally every pro, I didn’t criticize Knight for losing to bums on a random day in the lpl regular season did I? Are you genuinely stupid or do you not see how your comparison makes no sense?

Faker has never lost to the lpl bo5 at worlds, and never missed top 4 at worlds. Knight can’t even make it out to knock out stages twice now. That’s the comparison.

1

u/Djeveler May 09 '26

I never said Knight didn't. I guess you're truly just stupid, being unable to follow basic conversation. You brought up a bad BO1 Knight had, hence I brought up Faker has had similar stinkers.

Yeah, never missed top 4 at worlds, instead he just missed out on worlds entirely three times LMAO. Oh, and also he got 3-1 stomped by the likes of BFX, and also got reverse swept by gross DK of all things.

1

u/WinHopeful1216 May 09 '26 edited May 09 '26

I never said Knight didn't. I guess you're truly just stupid, being unable to follow basic conversation.

I never claimed you said he did though lol. I was just showing how dumb your comparison is that you are using faker losing bo1s to random teams to my comparison of knight’s total performance at the worlds stage because every pro loses to a worse team in their careers from time to time. The irony is laughable because you are the one not understanding my point.

Look you can continue on with the childish name callings but I think it’s pretty clear you can’t comprehend what is being said so there is no point. I would rather not waste my time arguing with a fool comparing faker to knight.

2

u/Djeveler May 09 '26

You're a hypocrite if you think such performance affects one but not the other, simple as that. But of course someone like you who thrives in it doesn't notice it.

It's not "name calling" to describe you accurately. You are genuinely stupid, thinking that Knight is somehow not the goat of the LPL because of some low points, when Faker despite having far more low points is the goat of the game.

If you don't want to be called stupid then just don't say stupid shit. Easiest thing in the world.

0

u/WinHopeful1216 May 09 '26

You're a hypocrite if you think such performance affects one but not the other, simple as that. But of course someone like you who thrives in it doesn't notice it.

No because Knight doesn’t have 6 world titles. When you win worlds 6 times, your bad moments are one-offs and you get benefit of the doubt. When you are knight and you consistently fall short and is a complete no show when it matters and you don’t have a single worlds title, you don’t get that same benefit because you have never proven you could do it.

You are genuinely stupid, thinking that Knight is somehow not the goat of the LPL because of some low points

First, if choking at worlds is just “some low points” I guess no one is bad because it just “some low points”. Moham is a great player he just had some low points on the biggest stage in the game no biggie.

Secondly, Kanavi is better LPL player than Knight ever was. Kanavi beat Knight with yagao. It’s Knight who joined Kanavi when he failed on tes. It’s also Knight who got eliminated by Kanavi last year at worlds. Kanavi also carried him to his only msi title. Final mvp or not, the tournament mvp was kanavi there was no reward for it. Knight is always busy jumping around teams to chase trophies while players like uzi and kanavi made their team better. They could have farmed lpl torphies but unlike Knight they aren’t jumping around the best or 2nd best team to get a trophy.

If you don't want to be called stupid then just don't say stupid shit. Easiest thing in the world.

No call me stupid, it just hurts your position. it seems like you aren’t educated enough to know that resorting to insults is the quickest way to weaken your position and signal to everyone you are the idiot.

-1

u/YBL10MD May 09 '26

Bro what are you even talking about? Faker could lose every game for rest of his career and he is still the undisputed GOAT. If Knight had even 1/3 of Faker's accolades no one would criticize him for all his terrible moments but he doesn't. You have to have some deficiency in your brain if you think criticizing a 6 time word champion and the first ever back to back and now back to back to back world champion makes your point about knight any stronger.

Not sure how you are talking about someone being stupid while being completely all over the place with your comments. What are you even arguing? That Knight is better than Faker? Like who the fuck cares what Faker lost to? Is Knight a 6 time world champion like Faker? You are expecting Knight to be treated like Faker?

1

u/yijun2005 May 09 '26

If u can read hes quite obviously not arguing that knight is better than faker, hes saying that having a few bad games doesnt take away from their achievements lmao

-1

u/YBL10MD May 09 '26

If you can read the comment was not about having a "few bad games" the whole comment that he replied to talk about Knight's performance at Worlds. If that's "Few bad games" I guess everything is a few bad games and showing up for the most important tournament means nothing.

Uzi is commonly an argument for best LPL player and he's won one LPL title and one international title. Knight has won like six LPL titles and two internationals, and I say this as someone who's favorite player is Uzi.

The only real argument after that is Xiaohu who I'd say Knight has nearly caught up to in terms of accolades and has long surpassed him in terms of individual skill and eye test.

11

u/aheyaywa Waiting for t1 at worlds May 08 '26

He has only 6 lpl titles, i could swear he wins almost every split for like 5 years lol there is no way its only 6

8

u/Frostbite2806 May 08 '26

He actually lost quite a few playoffs:

2025 Split 2 to AL (2nd place finish)

2025 Split 1 to TES (4th place)

2022 Summer to JDG (2nd place)

2022 Spring to RNG (2nd place)

2021 Summer to LNG (7-8th place)

2021 Spring to RNG (4th place)

2020 summer was his first ever domestic trophy

5

u/Regent0624 May 08 '26

Also the most MVPs too i think, for sure the most after this split.

4

u/rsadagopal May 08 '26

He has 7 titles, with 11 total finals appearances.

  • 2026 Split 1 (Winter)
  • 2025 Grand Finals (Summer Split)
  • 2024 Summer
  • 2024 Spring
  • 2023 Summer
  • 2023 Spring
  • 2020 Summer

4

u/IlluminatiConfirmed May 08 '26

5

u/EliteTeutonicNight May 08 '26

In terms of trophies Meiko is up there (less LPL but he did win worlds), but I don't think he has individually had the peaks of Knight. Just want to shout out to him either ways, probably the LPL support Goat.

5

u/Is_J_a_Name Peanut, MISSING, Yagao, Kanavi, HongQ May 08 '26

I knew I was forgetting someone at the time but for some reason my brain went to Clearlove and didn't even think about Meiko, Meiko definitely has as good or even better of a case than Xiaohu.

-6

u/WinHopeful1216 May 08 '26

Uzi played in a different era where it was next to impossible to beat Korean teams. If you can’t understand that we live in a different era than more than a decade ago where we now have 15 seasons of world champions then you don’t understand the nuance to have this discussion.

8

u/Is_J_a_Name Peanut, MISSING, Yagao, Kanavi, HongQ May 08 '26

Don't quite understand the random aggression and attack on my intelligence in your comment, but sure. Now, exactly how does Uzi being unable to beat Korean teams impact the fact that he has a whole five less domestic titles than Knight?

Titles aren't even the primary argument here, individual skill and eye test are by far the primary determinants for a discussion like this, with that then being supported by accolades. That's why Uzi is generally above Xiaohu despite the latters additional LPL titles and international titles. But compared to Knight more then matches his skill while also having gotten it done repeatedly at home with a decent amount of international success as well, I'm not quite convinced that Uzi is still the greatest LPL player of all time.

Don't quite understand the random aggression and attack on my intelligence in your comment, but sure. Now, exactly how does Uzi being unable to beat Korean teams impact the fact that he has a whole five less domestic titles than Knight?

There are multiple factors. First uzi played adc and not mid which is by far a less impactful role. Secondly, uzi played in a different era like I said. There were new teams popping up left and right, the scene wasn’t stabilized so there were less of “super teams” forming. For awhile the whole curse was that we didn’t have worlds winner qualify for the next worlds because there were so much player turn over in the scene.

However, most importantly and what I respect about uzi and chovy too is that they never chased trophies and good players came to them to play whereas knight often chased players. Uzi for most of his career stayed with royal club and eventually got that historic 2018 msi win. Could he have won more lpl titles if he bounced around teams? Sure, but he stayed with royal club. For chovy since I brought it up, he also could have joined top teams but always chose rebuilding teams and then top players joined him. People forget that even gen g was in a rebuild when they got chovy because their bdd experiment failed.

Where does knight go after tes because he can’t beat kanavi and yagao? He goes to jdg to join kanavi. After jdg fails where does he go? He goes to the 2nd place team in blg.

He is always chasing after trophies, while players like uzi did it his way on his own team. Those uzi trophies mean so much more than Knight’s trophies where he just chases around the best or next best team.

Again different era. This is like saying babe ruth isn’t a great player because modern players can pitch better than him. Uzi reached back to back world finals in an era where Korean teams didn’t lose. He changed how the game played. Not sure knight is on that level in terms of impact.

174

u/Is_J_a_Name Peanut, MISSING, Yagao, Kanavi, HongQ May 08 '26

They got comprehensively outperformed but how is it fair that one team's midlaner is Knight and the other team's mid isn't Knight

37

u/Past_Perception8052 May 08 '26

best player in the world and its not arguable. if LPL had same pr as LCK there would be no debate

15

u/GeneralZhukov May 09 '26

Dang you summoned the LCK fans lol. Praying for your safety.

6

u/TheFeelingWhen May 08 '26

If G2 won first stand everyone would call Caps the best player in the World and G2 the best team but because BLG won nobody cares

8

u/Shortofbetternames May 08 '26

is that supposed to be a good argument? "If JDG 2023 won Worlds and BLG 2024 won worlds people would say knight was even above faker" like wtf, ifs are not reality, and we just live with that

1

u/Djeveler May 09 '26

Caps got obliterated by Knight in their first series. Second series Caps got the better of him in lane in three games but it wasn't to nearly the same extent, and it was mostly due to Knight picking for comp or utility.

Also out of first stand the best player contention was Bin or Xun, so Knight winning first stand has nothing to do with it. It's because of his performance this split.

He didn’t get gapped by Faker at 2024 World Finals, he carried BLG’s 2 wins. It’s possible for 2 players at the same role to have great performances in a series. And he was by far BLG’s best player at both internationals last year, the inting from the rest of his team shouldn’t be held against him.

But yes he has had some poor international performances, like pretty much every top midlaner (including Faker btw - see MSI/Worlds 2019, MSI 2023)

12

u/Nymaera_ LEC & LPL Caster | LJL Expert May 08 '26

Knight was the best player at MSI 2023, 2nd best mid laner at Worlds 2023, 2nd best mid laner at MSI 2024 and the best player at Worlds 2024.

Nope, completely serious about that. Faker in game 4&5 was on some legendary form but across the average of the tournament Knight was superior, including games 1-3 of finals!

Not that this matters for current form, but I don't think you can boil down Knight's history to getting blasted in events he was actually very good at.

lol LCK legit won every tournament possible last 3 years and you don't see LCK fans being this brave and subjectively not humble at all. Before you say I am a LCK glazer, I am EU and looking from the outside, LPL fans are some of the loudest bunch with an inferiority complex. I think it's natural when you can be great but end up 2nd place to LCK all the time.

16

-5

u/Fluffy_Macaron_9837 May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

Aside from crazy ass T1 fans who aren't even Korean/LCK fans usually, LCK peeps are actually pretty quite despite winning everything. I am being objective as possible here; my home region is EU.

Even the LCK fan OP in this comment thread is reacting to a LPL fan chirping about how LCK just has more PR, which is a ridiculous statement considering how PR comes with having merit (winning tourneys) naturally. LCK gets mentioned way more often by LPL fans than vice-versa in their respective post-game threads.

I also observed that LPL fans tend to be giga emotional, ex. they love to point out how LPL needs to win or the region is doomed constantly when NA is hanging by a thread. Conversely, when they win an international, they forget this narrative and claim #1 region immediately lol. LCK tends to be more magnanimous in both domination and loss IMO.

10

u/IlluminatiConfirmed May 08 '26

Guess who won the most recent international

3

u/GeneralZhukov May 09 '26

12

no shot Knight gets dogwalked by Chovy if they meet at MSI if Knight keeps up his current form

15

u/Adlairo IG 2018 enjoyer May 08 '26

but u dont get it bro, it happened two years ago so it must always happen forever

14

u/PhilosoKing Flandre is my new father May 08 '26

Knight vs Chovy at MSI 2024 was a strange phenomenon that is unlikely to replicate in the future.

Like, Knight got ass-blasted at a historical degree. Even mids much worse than Knight routinely matched up better vs. Chovy historically. In that very same tournament, even Creme went blow for blow vs. Chovy. Last year, Shanks held incredibly well vs. Chovy as well. But somehow, the best LPL mid laner ever looked legitimately putrid vs. him that specific week.

If you were to argue in good faith, it makes more sense to treat MSI 2024 as an unusually lopsided outlier rather than the definitive expectation for every future meeting between them.

6

u/HistoricalRoad1755 May 08 '26

Knight's champ pool at MSI 2024 was whack. He couldn't play Asol (Chovy was a demon on it) and he tried to pick shit like Jayce mid.

14

u/Regent0624 May 08 '26

Knight vs Chovy at MSI 2024 was a strange phenomenon that is unlikely to replicate in the future.

Fr, if we wanna shit on Knight for that bad tounry vs Chovy then surely we can turbo shit on Chovy for going out a worlds in quarters/semis every year no showing in the highest stakes games.

6

u/Several-Quantity-440 May 08 '26

That meta was just built for chovy, like he's the only good Asol player and old corki, yone and hwei are all his pocket picks

3

u/Nymaera_ LEC & LPL Caster | LJL Expert May 08 '26

His 2024 was better I think, his FST finals was a bit off and he’s thrown a few big game changing shutdowns over in winning spots. But it’s the difference between a 9/10 and a 10/10 at this point.

2

u/djpain20 May 08 '26

His 2024 was better I think, his FST finals was a bit off

This cannot be the reasoning for 2026 being worse when 2024 MSI was problaly the worst international tournament of his career. Knight's best individual year ever is either 2020 or 2022, followed by 2019. His 2026 so far is insane however, and depending on his form at MSI/Worlds could end up being the most impressive year of his career yet.

12

u/Shortofbetternames May 08 '26

I agree with both 2020 or 2022 if not for worlds, but fucking 2024 worlds knight was a goddamn demon, like EVEN with faker's extremely clutch plays you can still make a case for knight being the best player in 2024 worlds, and if you say faker was #1 which is valid knight is EXTREMELY close behind.

This sub also disregards 2020 msc for whatever reason "blabla eu and na were not there" like if this would drop the level of the competition when theyre irrelevant 90% of tournaments, and if not for caps theyre irrelevant 100%

3

u/Jeslea OG Lane Kingdom Enjoyer May 09 '26

2

u/Nymaera_ LEC & LPL Caster | LJL Expert May 08 '26

MSI2024 he was clearly the 2nd best mid laner of the tournament, unfortunately the best was Chovy and made everyone look 2nd class so I totally disagree there.

My overall point for this split includes multiple occasions this split giving unnecessary shutdowns over whereas in 2024 he played nigh on every game to a higher level I would say.

4

u/djpain20 May 08 '26

MSI2024 he was clearly the 2nd best mid laner of the tournament

You keep repeating this line over and over again as if that's even remotely relevant. Faker and Creme both played like bums in that tournament, Caps was okay, the only competition for Knight was Chovy and Chovy assblasted him in back to back Bo5s in a way that nobody ever did before or after since. The closest example I could think of was some of his Bo5s against Rookie early on in his career back when he still had that mental wall against him but even then I think Knight played better there. Given the amount of hype people had for the first "Knight vs Chovy Bo5", that was without a doubt one of the most underwhelming moments of Knight's career and amongst casual fans his reputation still hasn't recovered 100%. The fact that Knight was technically the 2nd best mid at the tournament is about as important as being the 2nd best performing midlaner at 2013 or 2015 Worlds.

u/lordtentai Ruby > Caps, Faker, Chovy, Rookie, Knight, Scout May 08 '26

3

u/metalrawk May 08 '26

Peaking? Did you watch the last match BDD played? If the opposite mid was knight instead of showmaker KT would not make past 20 minutes.

2

u/lordtentai Ruby > Caps, Faker, Chovy, Rookie, Knight, Scout May 08 '26

Did you read the first part of my comment? Bdd has been great for the most part of this split

2

u/EzAf_K3ch May 08 '26

Compared to the rest of his team this looks like 2019-2021 knight on tes where he had to 1v9 every game. You can argue he was just as good in 23 and 24 but then his team was smurfing every game as well

2

u/Prince_Arcann May 08 '26

I have the same feeling. He's always been the best LPL player but I don't remember him being this insane and in every single game too, it's ridiculous.

1

u/Jumpy-Investment7634 May 08 '26

Haven't been keeping up with LPL, has he shown Azir so far this year? Would be great for him, hes so op but that was his one weakness in the past.

13

u/Regent0624 May 08 '26

His Azir woes are a little overblown in that he's just decent at it but not knight level like he is with 30 other champions (no really, he has a champion ocean with many champs that you could argue hes the best itw on).

He had a decent game on it this split going like 7/0/10 or something but it isnt as needed since with fearless he can just pick ziggs/akali/syndra into it and azir isnt as strong as before.

Sidenote 2023 worlds meta was cringe as fuck with only 3 playable mid laners (neeko, ori, azir)

2

u/IlluminatiConfirmed May 08 '26

People had success on Syndra ahri akali and Sylas that worlds too but JDG was unable to get knight on anything except orianna which was a shame

6

u/Shortofbetternames May 08 '26

id argue 2023 ruler getting caught by zeus shopping, not flashing the azir ult right, losing the 2v1 as zeri aswell as walking too close to oner's rell mistakes were larger than whatever knight got blamed for in 2023. Kanavi got blamed a lot so im not gonna add to it, but ruler got out farily scottfree for what he did

2

u/Regent0624 May 09 '26

He also couldn’t really play the eventual bot meta too well either (afaik he doesn’t play cait and varus was meh).

2

u/Shortofbetternames May 09 '26

i may be remembering wrong but like jdg's first game was ruler on cait and he played pretty damn well, dont understand why he never picked it more

1

u/Regent0624 May 09 '26

His very first one on JDG I wouldn’t be able to tell you but that’s some crazy ball knowledge remembering that.

I never got the impression that ruler is that great of a Caitlyn player tho, he only has 29 games on it for his entire 10 yr career. Maybe Uzi traumatized him.

6

u/purpleadlib May 08 '26

He had some really good games too this year, and even this split.

The difference between this year and last year on iG, I think, is that this time around, his team is, in general, more consistant. So his good (or bad, it has to be noted too) performances, don't shine that much.

Last year, his teammates were all taking turn inting individually for a good part of the year. So when you're the only stable player on a team of inconsistant players, your performance will stand out more.

4

u/metalrawk May 08 '26

One other difference is that he's the captain and main shotcaller for JDG.

I don't remember any ADC shotcalling in recent years. I would believe its hard to manage both roles at the same time and that's why Tabe was looking for a jungle replacement.

5

u/Is_J_a_Name Peanut, MISSING, Yagao, Kanavi, HongQ May 08 '26

Just in regards to your point about ADC shotcalling, I don't know if he still is but Jackeylove has very frequently been a shotcaller for his teams.

1

u/Eldri_Dreaming May 09 '26

True, you can see the effect Tabe has on them. Their macro is solid, their plans for teamfights are solid too, and they play really well from behind. You can see how they move carefully across the map in groups and avoid getting caught out. Too bad when it comes to actual execution they fall short

15
